PS3 Exclusive ‘Rain’ Gets A Haunting New Trailer

If you haven’t heard of it already, Rain is an upcoming PS3 exclusive set in a city at night where it’s always raining. You play as an invisible boy who can only be seen in the rain. There are invisible monsters that are hunting this boy, so that introduces a bit of stealth gameplay as you’re moving from one bit of shelter to the next without being seen. It seems there’s also a bit of Ico in this game, as you soon find a little girl and the two of you try and escape together.

It looks beautiful, haunting, a little sad, and absolutely unique. I can’t wait to see more of it. Read on for its new story trailer.

The Dual Shock 4 Controller Gets ‘Diablo III’ed’

There’s no doubt that you can’t just take Diablo III and throw it on a console. It has to be carefully and gently taken over and reformed a bit. And one thing that really needs forming is the whole controller situation. Because you have a lot more possibilities with a keyboard, transferring all those key strokes to a controller takes some finesse. Since Diablo III is also coming to the Playstation 4, there is that magical new touch pad sitting so comfortably on the top of the new Dual Shock 4 controller that will also be used to make playing the game easier and more interesting. Head past the break to check out a developer diary and learn all about it. There are no console release dates yet for Diablo III.

Not too many comic related characters gone video games come out very well. But I am incredibly excited for the upcoming Deadpool game. It really looks like they’re going about it the right way. Rockstar’s ‘Manhunt’ Stalks PSN May 14th

Rockstar Games has been a consistent source of truly gritty gaming experiences over the years. Grand Theft Auto, Red Dead Redemption, Max Payne — they’re all ultra-violent story-driven games that aren’t quite like anything else out there. They were undeniably dark, yet they pale in comparison to the controversial stealth horror Manhunt series. It never really found the critical or commercial reception required to become a successful series, but that didn’t keep it from finding a substantial cult following.

Soon, you’ll be able to sneak up behind and suffocate more unsuspecting goons with plastic bags when the original Manhunt re-releases on the PS3′s PlayStation Store on May 14th for $9.99. No word yet on whether or not its sequel will be making the same transition.

Techland Pits You Against The Armies Of Hell In ‘Hellraid’

We all know Techland. They brought us the wonderful Dead Island. But now they’re switching things up a bit and bringing you a first person slasher where you fight against the armies of hell. The game looks like a much more demonic version of a Skyrim or Oblivion. And there’s looting. Maybe one of my favorite things ever. My friends despise me for my extra time spent looting. You can enjoy the campaign on your own, or you and up to 3 others can play against each other white fighting each other monsters and racking up points. This First Developer Diary For ‘Resident Evil: Revelations’ Shows Us Deep Horror Roots

A big issue a lot of gamers have with the most recent Resident Evil games is that Capcom is pulling further and further out of the horror genre. Resident Evil: Revelations is the exception. When creating the game developers wanted to recreate some of the feelings and fears players got from earlier games in the series. But one has to wonder if such a thing could ever be the same again. Sure you can add more scares and less action, but you can’t take away the crystal clear graphics and updated game play. Or could you? Head past the break to see the 1st developer diary “Heritage and Horror” for Resident Evil: Revelations. May 21st on the PC, Playstation 3, WiiU, and Xbox 360. (No, I’m not saying either of those are bad) The series is known for being brutal, and relentless. In the killing of you throughout the campaign.
