Get Ready For A New Zombies Map In ‘Call Of Duty: Black Ops II’

Most of us around here don’t care so much for the Black Ops games themselves. But if you’re talking zombies mode, I’m in. I think Treyarch would benefit from at least making the zombies mode available as a cheaper standalone game. Maybe something we could get on Xbox Live or the Playstation Network. Coming April 16th exclusively to the Xbox 360 (Until later released elsewhere) is the Uprising Map Pack. You get four new regular multiplayer maps and one new zombie map called Mob Of The Dead. Head past the break for more map info and a video.

Blizzard Shows Off ‘Diablo III’ On PS3, Sans Auction House And Required Internet Connection

Despite being a tremendous critical and commercial success, Blizzard has spent much of the year following the release of Diablo III apologizing for its auction house, required Internet connection, and weak finale. Personally, I loved the game, even though it didn’t grab me with quite as firm a grip as Diablo II, which I continued to play off and on even a decade after its release. It’s a great game, and if the controversies bothered you enough to keep you from playing it on PC, the upcoming console version may be the one to get.

For starters, its impending release on the PS3, PS4, and possibly one or more of Microsoft’s consoles, will not bring with it a required Internet connection to play. The auction house, which for me, made the experience of finding loot less satisfying, also won’t be coming to consoles. Blizzard showed off some brand new gameplay footage taken on the PS3 at PAX East, which you can watch after the break.

Indie Survival Horror Gem ‘Lone Survivor’ Is Coming To The PS3 And PS Vita This Summer

Jasper Byrne’s Lone Survivor is, in my opinion, one of the best survival horror games out there. It’s delightfully twisted love letter to the genre that looks like a 16-bit Silent Hill. It’s also crazy cheap — you can get it on Steam right now for just $9.99 — or you can wait for its release on the PS3 and PS Vita in July. That’s not all.

Berne had more to say about the game in a recent blog post, “I’ve secretly been devoting a lot of time and resources into adding additional content into the game, initially exclusive to PS3 and PS Vita,” The PS version will come with Trophies, Cross-Buy and Cross-Play support (buy it on the PS3 and you can play it on the Vita, or vice versa), as well as a bunch of new items, dialogue, side quests and even a special “yellow” ending. Watch a brand new trailer after the jump.

‘Deadpool’ Mouths Off Some More In This Gameplay Trailer

You’ve got to love Deadpool. He’s such a dick. Not many characters can get away with it as smoothy as he can. I get it Duke Nukem, you’re a pervert. You’re also old and creepy. I get this sinking feeling the Deadpool game could be terrible because we don’t see many awesome Marvel Universe games, but I do have a shred of hope. Maybe I’m just holding on too dearly to my childhood. Check out the gameplay trailer past the break, and lookout for Deadpool this summer on the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360.

Bungie Officially Unveils Their New Game ‘Destiny’. It’s Too Beautiful For Words. Come Inside.

‘Dead Space 3′ Needed To Be More Action Oriented To Grow

In an interview with Now Gamer Dead Space 1 writer Antony Johnston states that the action in Dead Space 3 is “a necessary evil in order to broaden the fan base.” He goes on to say that was the plan from the start. “I know the developers always wanted to go bigger, in terms of scope. And I’ve mentioned before that the universe we created was huge, with lots of elements, which simply didn’t make it into the first game.” He’s right. People definitely complain about the over the top action in the new Resident Evil, but would have keeping it stuck so small have stunted its growth? I think Visceral Games probably has that fear. But when you create such a big universe in a game series, it’s hard to keep it from growing. Read the full interview/article HERE!

The Second Part In The ‘Tomb Raider’ Survival Guide Cracks Exploration Wide Open

Past Tomb Raider games were somewhat streamlined. There wasn’t much room for extensive exploration apart from the main storyline. In the new Tomb Raider you have a map of the island you’re stuck on and there is a lot more you can explore. In the video past the break ‘Guide To Survival Episode #2′, you will learn all about it. There are a lot more areas to explore, and many you can not progress in unless Lara herself has gotten the right items, weapons, or skills learned to do so. I love this because the Tomb Raider games definitely needed to take a turn in the direction of open exploration. But in case you don’t want to stray too far from your main mission you can easily get right back on track using your map. Check out the video past the break.
