Punk band Face To Face have released an animated music video for It’s Not All About You, which features the band taking on zombies. The band is currently on a headline tour with Blitzkid, so make sure to check them out!

My jaw dropped when I heard this news and, if you’re into to punk rock, yours should too. I’m a huge sucker for documentaries especially ones on music so to hear that there is a Descendents / ALL documentary in the works is pretty amazing. The documentary will be titled “Filmage: The Story Of Descendents / ALL“. The film is being done by Deedle Lacour and Matt Riggle. There is no release date as of yet.

Legendary hardcore/punk band H2O are heading into the studio to record a cover album featuring some of their favorite songs. The album, appropriately titled Don’t Forget Your Roots, will feature the following bands: The Ramones, Dag Nasty, Madball, Rancid, Circle Jerks, Descendents, Cro-Mags, Bad Brains, The Clash, GovernmentIssue, Verbal Assault, Gorilla Biscuits, Mighty Mighty Bosstones, 7 Seconds, Embrace, Social Distortion, Sick of It All and Warzone. Just to name a few. I’m a huge sucker for cover songs especially when done by a band I enjoy and have a lot of respect for.
Lead singer Toby Morse had this to say: “This album is extremely important to us. These are bands that inspired us to start a band and who have inspired our personal lives. Also with so many young kids getting into hardcore every day, it’s good to always keep exposing them to the ROOTS of this music and getting them into some of the originators of hardcore/punk. We have all gotten to see this bands play live when we were young so covering their songs that made us happy and inspired as kids feels amazing and we feel honored.”

Blabbermouth.net is reporting that Glenn Danzig (Misfits, Danzig) has written and submitted a song for The Hangover 2. Director Todd Phillips asked Danzig to record a song for the sequel as he had used the song that Glenn had written for Johnny Cash, ‘Thirteen‘, for the original. The end result is the lead track ‘Black Hell‘.
Okay, who’s going to see 30 Seconds To Mars this weekend at the Gibson Amphitheater in Los Angeles? If you’re gonna be there, make sure to get there early to check out Frontline Brigade, who were personally asked by 30STM frontman Jared Leto to be the opening act. When I was asked to do this review I was excited about it, but also a little bit unsure of what to expect. I’ve been listening to punk and hardcore music from a pretty young age, but Rise Against was one of those bands who always seemed too “big” for me. And I don’t mean big in the sense of popular, I mean big in the sense of having their shit together. But it was clear after one listen that Rise Against isn’t only for hardcore activists who make it their top priority every day to ponder political conundrums. They really just, well, they give a shit. And that’s a breath of fresh air. Read on to hear what I have to say about their newest release Endgame.

Rise Against are set to release their latest album, ‘Endgame’, next week on the 15th (pre-order your copy here). To celebrate said event, the band will be streaming their London show on their official website, where viewers can choose from three different camera angles to watch the show from. Just tune in around 9:10pm UK time, which would be 1:10pm PST and 4:10pm EST US time.

Danzig has entered the studio to record a long-delayed album that consists only of covers. According to Blabbermouth.net, five songs have already been laid down, including a tribute to Elvis and one to Black Sabbath. Can we put in some requests? I want to hear Danzig bust out some ‘Barbie Girl’. No joke, I’d buy the album in a second if he did that.

“We will be playing a lot of songs that we haven’t played in a long time and some that have never been played at all, old and new. It will be one of the most eclectic sets we’ve ever played for sure,” said vocalist Cory Brandan. “I think of any headlining tour we’ve done to this point, this is the show to come to if you are a true Norma Jean fan. Doesn’t matter what record is your favorite, we’ll be playing something from it. We’re very excited and are working really hard to make sure it’s going to be excellent.”
But all that doesn’t matter when compared to this tour poster:
Look at that thing! Let’s run down the list: there’s a T-Rex, an AT-AT, a tank, helicopters, a race car ON FIRE, scores of bombs raining down and, lastly, a city that has just been hit by a nuke. Yup, quite possibly the most epic poster ever. READ MORE
