Red Band Trailer For ‘Hatchet III’ Keeps The Blood (And The Balls)!

In limited theaters June 14 from MPI/Dark Sky Films, the official red band trailer for Hatchet III has now premiered (via EW)! It looks pretty good, seemingly placing Danielle Harris’ character in jail for much of the running time. Are those balls in the tree Colton Dunn’s balls from Part 2? We’ll have to find out!

The film marks the directorial debut of BJ McDonnell who previously has handled A and B camera operations on such features as Rob Zombie’s Halloween remake, Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, and the first two Hatchet films. Danielle Harris and Kane Hodder return in Hatchet III and are joined by Zach Galligan (Gremlins), Derek Mears (Friday the 13th 2009), Caroline Williams (Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2), Sean Whalen (The People Under the Stairs) and others.

“The film continues the tale of the now-iconic villain Victor Crowley (Kane Hodder). Twentieth Century Fox’s Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, the Timur Bekmambetov-directed historical retelling of our 16th President that was penned by up-and-coming genre madman Seth Grahame-Smith, is finally heading into the top gears of its pre release publicity cycle. A red band trailer was issued to IGN today that kicks up the mayhem – and gore – several notches. It’s still pretty heavy on the CG – and I still hate the look of CG blood – but if you can get past that this may be a fun ride. We’ll see.

In theaters June 22, “Grahame-Smith’s revision of the secret life of our greatest president, and the untold history that shaped our nation. As a young boy, Abraham Lincoln witnesses the shocking death of his mother, leading him on a path to an ongoing war – and ultimately to the presidency – he chronicles in a hidden diary. Magnolia Pictures’ Magnet Releasing has now unloaded a red band clip from Álex de la Iglesia’s Spanish-language The Last Circus (Balada Triste de Trompeta), which begins its limited theatrical release on August 19th. The clip features a crackpot clown losing his sh*t when he sees a girl having sex. He beats the male to death with a trumpet. Aces!

Starring Carolina Bang, Santiago Segura, Antonio de la Torre and Fernando Guillen-Cuervo, “In the midst of the Spanish Civil War, “happy” circus clown is interrupted mid-performance and forcibly recruited by a militia. Still in his costume, he is handed a machete and led into battle against National soldiers in this twisted tale of love, revenge, and psychopathic clowns.”
