Here’s A New ‘Resident Evil 6′ Trailer To Get You Pumped For Its Release Next Week

Capcom is going all out with Resident Evil 6. Four campaigns and a bevvy of multiplayer modes, including the return of the deliciously addictive Mercenaries mode make this installment in the iconic horror franchise the most ambitious one yet. I’ve spent a good amount of time with the game so far, and damn. Unfortunately, that’s all I can say right now, so if you’d like to hear more I suggest keeping an eye on Dead Pixels for my review, which will be going live Monday morning. Until then, I have the trailer that premiered at Tokyo Game Show last week that you should definitely watch. Check it out after the break.

Check Out The New ‘Resident Evil 6′ Demo, Available Now!

If you didn’t get the chance to play the Resident Evil 6 demo when it was available for Dragon’s Dogma owners last month, now’s your chance to get your hands on another deliciously rotten slice of the zombie pie. The demo, available now for the PS3 and Xbox 360, brings with it new content, so if you did what I did and bought Dragon’s Dogma just to play the first demo, this will still be worth checking out. For those of you who would rather keep things fresh, there are only a few short weeks between us and what’s looking like the most epic Resident Evil to date. That’s not too bad, right? Resident Evil 6 releases on the PS3 and Xbox 360 on October 2nd.

[Boredom Bytes] The ‘Slender’ Games, Ghost Rider Strolls Through Liberty City, Conan O’Brien Reviews ‘Resident Evil 6′

You feel that? That silence? This is the calm before the storm, because right now, we’re on the precipice of total anarchy. You thought last week, which was largely dominated by the Wii U and Steam Greenlight, was busy? Oh, no sir. Next week we have Borderlands 2, a game that’s brimming with guns and wub wub, and Torchlight II, which I’ve already spent a few hours in for my review (look for it next week!), and it’s pretty great so far. Not long after that we have Resident Evil 6, followed by Dishonored, and a slew of other incredible looking titles that are guaranteed to take up all our time. So enjoy this moment, because you’ll soon have one excellent game after another trying to seduce its way into your living room. After the break, I have some pretty fantastic videos for you, including a Slenderman take on The Hunger Games, Ghost Rider’s recent vacation in Liberty City, and Conan O’Brien reviews Resident Evil 6.

Here’s Another Dismal ‘Resident Evil 6′ Trailer To Prove There Really Is No Hope Left

Capcom is pumping out some bleak trailers for Resident Evil 6. I’m not complaining, but watching these sure does give me the urge to play a lighter game, something cheery like Silent Hill or Grey. It’s hard to believe this game is only a few short weeks away, but with potentially five campaigns and a slew of multiplayer modes, this game looks incredible.

This Live-Action ‘Resident Evil 6′ Trailer Makes Me Sad

It’s Friday, and you know what that means! It means it’s time to share a thoroughly depressing new live-action trailer for Resident Evil 6. Oh, that’s not what Friday means? Well, it’s a really good trailer, and it never reaches a Dead Island announcement trailer level of depressing, so there’s that. I’m really loving the mature approach Capcom is taking with their marketing of the game. There were some deliciously cheesy trailers for Resident Evil 5, but the lessons have been learned and now we can all enjoy a genuinely good ad for what could very possibly be the biggest and most badass Resident Evil game to date. Feast your hungry eyes on it after the break.

If You Don’t Mind A Potential Spoiler Or Two, Here Are The ‘Resident Evil 6′ Achievements

Almost every achievement from the upcoming Resident Evil 6 have been unveiled, and after going through them I think this game might soon be joining Dead Space 1 & 2 and Resident Evil 5 on the pantheon of horror games whose cheevos I’ve successfully capped off. There might be a light spoiler here or there, but for the most part they’re pretty tame. Not included in the list are six secret cheevos, which almost definitely contain some sort of mind-blowing plot twist that will leave us shaking in our suede slippers when we finally play the game on October 2nd. In related news, suede slippers are perfect for gaming marathons. Head past the break for the list!

Looks Like ‘Resident Evil 6′ Will Have A Fifth “Prelude” Scenario

This has been a crazy couple of days for Resident Evil fans. First, we heard about a fourth campaign featuring Ada Wong, then the exciting new Agent Hunt mode was unveiled, and now it looks like Resident Evil 6 will bring with it not four, but five different campaigns. Dubbed the “Prelude”, essentially nothing is known about it right now. Between the five scenarios and the two competitive modes (Agent Hunt and Mercenaries), Capcom is boasting a 50 hour run-time to get through everything the game has to offer. Seeing as it was possible to fly through RE5 in a paltry three hours, this is good news. Let’s toss around our theories after the jump!

Here’s Some ‘Resident Evil 6′ Agent Hunt FootageTo Make You Feel Bad For Sherry

I have to admit, watching this footage of Resident Evil 6′s recently unveiled new mode called Agent Hunt actually makes me feel a little uncomfortable, almost as if I’m watching some sort of snuff film. In it, you see Sherry Birkin (and Jake Muller, though he’s not in it quite as much) get surrounded by a group of masked men, where one grabs and holds her while the others take turns swinging at her with their huge machetes. It helps when the men start to mutate, unleashing their slimy, pulsating tendrils to… oh wait, that might actually make it worse. Anyway, check it out after the break.

Sounds Like There’s Going To Be A Little Dark Souls In Our ‘Resident Evil 6′

For the unfamiliar, in Dark Souls your world runs parallel to the worlds of anyone else who is playing the game online. This means you’ll occasionally see the specters of other players running about your world, and it also means that every so often a malicious player (read: total dick) will invade your world with the singular goal of kicking your unsuspecting ass. From the sound of it, the newly announced Agent Hunt mode for Resident Evil 6 will play out a bit like that. In it, up to two players can invade a world and proceed to try and ruin that person’s day. More after the break!

Watch Ada Kick Tons Of Mummified Zombie Ass In This Brand New ‘Resident Evil 6′ Video

The bitch in the red dress is back, and she’s more badass than ever. Between her slick moves, grappling gun, and a crossbow with different firing modes, I think her scenarios might be the most fun to partake in. It certainly helps that her story looks to run parallel to Leon’s, meaning lots of zombies and creepy/rainy locales to explore. The fantastic video comes with the very good news that Ada will have her own single-player story so we can all relive the glorious days of Resident Evil 4 without a co-op partner, and rightly so, because I can’t picture Ada teaming up with anyone. Her story will unlock after you’ve completed the other three campaigns and give you the opportunity to beat down zombies with your serious ‘tude.

Pre-order ‘Resident Evil 6′ From The Capcom Store For A Very Special Umbrella

Don’t you just hate it when it starts raining and you realize you’ve left your raggedy ass umbrella at home? If you say you haven’t been in this position than you’re full of lies. All of us have gone through this, and it always ends with us taking the wet walk of shame back to our homes to pick up that pathetic excuse for an umbrella we leave tucked away in the darkest corner of the deepest closet. I say we all stand together and kick those crappy umbrellas to the curb so we can replace them with umbrellas that just ooze sex. It just so happens the pre-order bonus you get when you reserve Resident Evil 6 from the Capcom store is a very special Umbrella Corp. umbrella (it’s different from, and I dare say better than the one they’re currently selling individually). With this umbrella you can stand tall. Rain will fear you, hail will try its best to strike elsewhere, and snow will melt in terror, falling harmlessly against it. Oh, and that person you’ve had your eye on? Yeah, he/she will definitely finally notice you and immediately run to your side so they can stand underneath your newly acquired defense against the elements.

‘Resident Evil 6′ Is Going To Have A Lot Of Cinematics

I’m going to go out on a limb here and say that a majority of you have probably played Resident Evil 5. Despite it being one of the weaker games in the series, I still spent an unhealthy amount of time with it, primarily because it was a great way to keep myself and a friend entertained for a few hours. You didn’t really need to try all that hard to beat it in 3-4 hours, so that makes the news that Resident Evil 6 will have over four hours of cut-scenes all the more impressive. In case you needed another example of how much bigger RE6 will be over its predecessor, its 255 minutes worth of cinematics are longer than what it takes for a moderately skilled player to beat RE5′s entire campaign. That’s four times what RE5 had, but it’s still less than half of what MGS4 made us sit through back in 2008, and when you spread it across three campaigns, it makes sense. What do you think? Is this too much, or are you all right with the substantially larger effort Capcom is putting into making Resident Evil 6 a more cinematic game?

Trio Of ‘Resident Evil 6′ Videos Show Off Four Player Co-op, Zombie Dogs, And Giant Snakes

I am finding myself getting more and more pumped for this game. I was admittedly a little worried, a feeling that’s shared by a majority of Resident Evil fans by now, but after enjoying some hands-on time with the demo, I’ve found my worries are slowly being soothed away. Capcom’s being ambitious with Resident Evil 6, offering us three wildly different campaigns that seem to be heavily influenced by past games in the series–Chris’ story plays like RE5, Leon’s like RE4, and Jake’s like RE3. The last time Capcom went all in was with Resident Evil 4, and I think most of us can agree that that game was amazing. Capcom recently unveiled three new gameplay videos, which you can find after the break, that give us another glimpse of each of the three campaigns. These aren’t the same sections we’ve already seen either, no sir, this is (mostly) new.

New ‘Resident Evil 6′ Footage Shows Off More Of Leon’s Campaign

Capcom is really pushing Leon’s campaign, possibly to soothe the growing worries of their hardcore fan base since it’s the closest in atmosphere and setting to what longtime fans of the series have been asking for since Resident Evil 4. This time, Leon and his partner Helena Harper have to fight their way through a subway tunnel that’s brimming with the infected. I have to admit, seeing Leon get surrounded by a group of shambling zombies as he desperately tries to fight his way through them is a little exciting. I hope there’s a lot of that, because the other two campaigns look decidedly less scary. Check out the new gameplay after the break.

‘Resident Evil 6′ Collector’s Edition Contents Detailed, Probably Won’t Cost $1,300

Capcom is making Resident Evil 6 the most content heavy installment in their long-running series. It brings with it three campaigns that are each roughly 80% the length of the campaign in RE5. For those of you who skipped that game, you could beat it in about 3-4 hours, so it’s not quite as impressive as it might at first sound. Visually, the game looks incredible and looks to have grown a bit, at least
