New TV Spot For ‘Texas Chainsaw 3D’ Boasts New Footage

We now have the first TV Spot for Texas Chainsaw 3D, which continues the legendary story of the homicidal Sawyer family, picking up where Tobe Hooper’s 1974 horror classic left off in Newt, Texas, where for decades people went missing without a trace.

It mostly does what TV spots do, which is to say it’s shorter than a trailer and only has a few new shots. Somehow though, I actually like this TV Spot more than I like the official trailer.

In theaters January 4, 2013, the slasher is being directed by John Luessenhop from a screenplay by Adam Marcus, Debra Sullivan and Kirsten Elms. Dan Yeager, John Dugan, Bill Moseley, Alexandra Daddario, Sue Rock, Tania Raymonde, Scott Eastwood, Gunnar Hansen, Tobe Hooper, Paul Rae, Keram Malicki-Sánchez, Ritchie Montgomery, Trey Songz, Marilyn Burns, Shaun Sipos, Thom Barry and Richard Riehle star. First Clip From ‘Texas Chainsaw 3D’ Welcomes You To Texas Motherf*cker!!!

Hot on the heels of yesterday’s still, we’ve now got a clip from Texas Chainsaw 3D, which continues the legendary story of the homicidal Sawyer family, picking up where Tobe Hooper’s 1974 horror classic left off in Newt, Texas, where for decades people went missing without a trace.

The clip (via Machinima) expands upon the scene from which yesterday’s still, featuring Nikki (Tania Raymondei) and Ryan (Tremaine ‘Trey Songz’ Neverson), was pulled. There’s some chainsaw action and a Shane Black-esque one liner. Question. Why would someone welcome Leatherface to Texas? He’s already there, right? It kind of makes even less sense than your stewardess or pilot welcoming you to a city they arrived in at the same time as you.

In theaters January 4, 2013, the slasher is being directed by John Luessenhop from a screenplay by Adam Marcus, Debra Sullivan and Kirsten Elms. Dan Yeager, John Dugan, Bill Moseley, Alexandra Daddario, Sue Rock, Tania Raymonde, Scott Eastwood, Gunnar Hansen, Tobe Hooper, Paul Rae, Keram Malicki-Sánchez, Ritchie Montgomery, Trey Songz, Marilyn Burns, Shaun Sipos, Thom Barry and Richard Riehle star. New Poster For ‘Texas Chainsaw 3D’ Gives Us A Good Look At The New Leatherface!

Bloody reader Salva Gonzalez sent us this rough look at the 3rd poster from Lionsgate’s Texas Chainsaw 3D. This time we get a pretty good idea of Leatherface’s new look! I think it’s actually pretty good, but I prefer the original mask (decades of conditioning will do that to you).

In theaters January 4, 2013, the sequel is being directed by John Luessenhop from a screenplay by Adam Marcus, Debra Sullivan and Kirsten Elms. Dan Yeager, John Dugan, Bill Moseley, Alexandra Daddario, Sue Rock, Tania Raymonde, Scott Eastwood, Gunnar Hansen, Tobe Hooper, Paul Rae, Keram Malicki-Sánchez, Ritchie Montgomery, Trey Songz, Marilyn Burns, Shaun Sipos, Thom Barry and Richard Riehle star.

The seventh incarnation is a direct sequel to Hooper’s classic 1974 film that follows the lead character, Heather, who along with her friends, travel to Texas in order to collect an inheritance. The spin? What would you do if you found out your cousin was Leatherface, and he was now YOURS?

[Interview] Director John Luessenhop On Crafting A Modern Leatherface In ‘Texas Chainsaw 3D’!

On January 4, 2013 Lionsgate will gas-up their chainsaw and pull the cord on Texas Chainsaw 3D, the John Luessenhop-directed sequel to Tobe Hooper’s classic Texas Chainsaw Massacre that stars Dan Yeager, John Dugan, Bill Moseley, Alexandra Daddario, Sue Rock, Tania Raymonde, Scott Eastwood, Gunnar Hansen, Tobe Hooper, Paul Rae, Keram Malicki-Sánchez, Ritchie Montgomery, Trey Songz, Marilyn Burns, Shaun Sipos, Thom Barry and Richard Riehle.

Yesterday we published an on set report from Bloody Disgusting correspondent Alyse Wax, and now I can share my interview with Luessenhop! We discuss the difficulties of taking on the mantle of the series, the tonal similarities between this film and Tobe Hooper’s 1974 original and whether or not this on tops the lame Next Generation in terms of actually having Chainsaw kills.
