Watch The Opening Scene From ‘Warm Bodies’!!!

Have you ever wondered what goes through the mind of a zombie?

Summit Entertainment has shared the opening 4 minutes from All the Boys Love Mandy Lane director Jonathan Levine’s Warm Bodies, which take us into the thoughts of R (Nicholas Hoult), the film’s protagonist zombie, as he shambles through an airport. The scene is slightly spoilerish as it reveals various kinds of undead. Ultimately, the footage is pretty intriguing, and carries a few laughs. What are your thoughts?

In theaters February 1, “Warm Bodies is a poignant tale about the power of human connection. After a zombie epidemic, R (a highly unusual zombie) encounters Julie (a human survivor), and rescues her from a zombie attack. Julie sees that R is different from the other zombies, and as the two form a special relationship in their struggle for survival, R becomes increasingly more human – setting off an exciting, romantic, and often comical chain of events that begins to transform the other zombies and maybe even the whole lifeless world.

Teresa Palmer, Rob Corddry, John Malkovich and Analeigh Tipton also star. READ MORE

The Evolution Of New ‘Warm Bodies’ Stills!

Cold body. Warm heart.

In theaters February 1 from Summit Entertainment is Warm Bodies, a new kind of zombie film from All the Boys Love Mandy Lane director Jonathan Levine.

The first trailer was definitely eyebrow raising, in a good way, as it was quirky, fun and pretty hilarious. The new trailer takes the same approach but takes viewers inside the zombie’s head. The thought process reminds me of “The Wonder Years” a bit. Added with the trailer from last week are two new stills that show the “evolution” of a zombie!

HuebelHellbaby41312 Rob Huebel, Paul Scheer And More Set To Help Birth Lennon And Garants Hell Baby!

Darko Entertainment and Principato-Young Entertainment announced today that Rob Huebel (The Descendants), Paul Scheer (Piranha 3D), Riki Lindhome (The Last House On The Left) and Keegan-Michael Key (Due Date) are joining the cast of Hell Baby. The film marks co-screenwriters Thomas Lennon and Robert Ben Garant’s feature film directorial debut. They join the previously announced Rob Corddry (Hot Tub Time Machine, Warm Bodies) and Leslie Bibb (7500, Midnight Meat Train) in the film.

In the horror comedy “A young expectant couple moves in to New Orleans most haunted fixer-upper and calls upon The Vatican’s elite exorcism team to save them from a demonic baby. Lennon and Garant will portray that team.” The film is an original script from the multi-hyphenates Lennon and Garant, who have written nine feature films together including Night at the Museum, Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian, Taxi, Reno 911!: Miami, Balls of Fury, and The Pacifier. They are currently writing Rentaghost for 20th Century Fox and Ben Stiller.

Even if I’m not a huge fan of Lennon & Garant’s moneymaking screenwriting behemoths like Night At The Museum, I respect the frankness with which they address those paycheck projects (which pay them a lot) and the other, funnier, stuff they’re more passionate about. I find Lennon particularly hilarious on camera as well.

Hell Baby started filming today in New Orleans.

‘Warm Bodies’ Date Shifts From August To February 2013

Warm Bodies Date Shifts From August To February 2013

Summit Entertainment is moving director Jonathan Levine’s (All The Boys Love Mandy Lane, The Wackness, 50/50) hotly anticipated zombie flick Warm Bodies from August 10th to February 1, 2013.

Word is that the move has more to do with Summit’s newly crowded, Lionsgate infused, schedule rather than the quality of the film. This is something I’m willing to believe, as I have a lot of trust in Levine. I also visited the set in October – and while I can’t really talk much about that or reveal any details of any kind – what I saw impressed me. It seemed like he was very much bringing a personal vision to the film. And after subsequently reading the book, I’m convinced it’s a good piece of material for him to adapt.

I understand why Summit is sort of positioning it as being somewhat akin to Twilight – but I really think the film will prove to be much different, and better, than that. The source material certainly is.

So yeah, I’m kinda bummed I have to wait another six months to see it. Then again, it could actually be a great movie for Valentine’s day.

Starring Nicholas Hoult, Teresa Palmer, Rob Corddry, John Malkovich and Analeigh Tipton, “the story centers on an existentially tormented zombie who begins an unlikely friendship with the girlfriend of one of his victims and starts a chain reaction that will transform him and his fellow zombies.READ MORE

AFM ’11: First Image From Jonathan Levine’s ‘Warm Bodies’!

WarmLand110211 AFM 11: First Image From Jonathan Levines Warm Bodies!

I’m really looking forward to Jonathan Levine’s Warm Bodies. I think he’s a great new talent with a deft handle on a lot of tones that most directors his age would turn mawkish.

This new image out of AFM confirms that Summit is intent on making a bid to the Twilight audience with this film. With all of the success the franchise has had, I can’t blame them. But it’s okay to expect more out of this movie. I recently spent some time on the film’s set – and while I can’t say ANYTHING yet – everything indicates that it’s far better and more interesting than anything Twilight.

The film stars Nicholas Hoult, Rob Corddry, Theresa Palmer and John Malkovich. Based on the book by Isaac Marion the story “follows an existentially tormented zombie named “R” who begins an unlikely friendship with the girlfriend of one of his victims. It starts a chain reaction that will transform him, his fellow zombies, and maybe the whole undead world.

Comic Actor Rots for ‘Warm Bodies’

“Childrens Hospital” creator/star Rob Corddry is in final negotiations to join Nicholas Hoult and Teresa Palmer in Summit Entertainment’s zombie pic Warm Bodies, reports Variety.

Jonathan Levine (50/50, All the Boys Love Mandy Lane) is writing and directing the supernatural romancer, which is based on the novel by Isaac Marion.

The story follows an existentially-tormented zombie who falls for the girlfriend of one of his victims and decides to protect her from his brain-eating brethren as he begins to reconnect with his dormant humanity.

Hoult stars as R, a zombie who’s different from the rest of the undead, while Corddry will play M, the only other zombie like him … at first.

Production starts in September.
