The story follows an indebted man who gets a mysterious phone call telling him he’s on a hidden camera game show while also offering him a fortune if he completes thirteen tasks. The man accepts the challenge but is soon over his head as each task is more horrifying than the last. The thriller is the English-language remake of the Thai film 13: Game of Death.
Hellboy star Ron Perlman (pictured) has joined the cast of Daniel Stamm’s (The Last Exorcism) psychological thriller Angry Little God, an IM Global film that Dimension Films will distribute in the U.S., says THR.
Angry Little God — which began principal photography on Tuesday — headlines Mark Webber (Scott Pilgrim vs. the World) and Rutina Wesley (“True Blood”). Perman isn’t the only new addition to the cast; Pruitt Taylor Vince, Tom Bower and Devon Graye will also star.

Cloverfield and Texas Chainsaw Massacre‘s Mike Vogel (above) and Killer Movie‘s Nestor Carbonell have joined the cast of A&E’s upcoming series “Bates Motel,” which serves as a prequel to Alfred Hitchcock horror classic Psycho, in recurring roles, says Deadline. “The series examines the twisted relationship between serial-killer-to-be Norman (Freddie Highmore) and his mother Norma (Vera Varmiga). Carbonell will play Sheriff Royce Romero, who has something almost sinister about him.” Vogel will play Deputy Zach Shelby, described as “a completely engaging, attractive, intelligent sociopath.”
The Hunger Games‘ Alexander Ludwig will star opposite Abigail Breslin in Final Girl. Photographer Tyler Shields directs the film about a young girl who turns the tables on a pack of feral boys.
They also report that “True Blood” vet Rutina Wesley (below) is in negotiations to star in the thriller Angry Little Gods, which Daniel Stamm (The Last Exorcism) is directing. Wesley would make the movies during her break from filming HBO’s “True Blood,” on which she plays a newbie vampire. In Angry Little Gods, Wesley would play the fiancee to Mark Webber, who unbeknownst to her is playing a twisted game — a make-or-break competition that could make him his fortune or cost him his life.
