It took a while, but Dead Island will finally be getting it’s first dose of story DLC with Ryder White. In it you play as the game’s main baddie, colonel Ryder White, who I will always remember as one of the most frustrating boss fights I’ve ever had the misfortune of playing in a video game. Seriously, that entire rooftop sequence sucked rotting zombie balls. In fact, when I get the DLC, I think I’ll let Ryder White die a couple dozen times over, as revenge for being a part of that fight. Yeah, that sounds fun.

Ryder White releases on February 1st for xbox 360, PS3, and PC. It’ll charge 800 MSP, or $10 in real money for “several hours” of gameplay, some plot twists, and the chance to watch Ryder White get his ugly face bashed in by curb-stomp happy infected. Everyone’s favorite horror RPG is getting a second dose of DLC with a single-player expansion dubbed ‘Ryder White’. Fans might recognize this name as it belongs to the colonel who goes all William Birkin on you at the end of the game (belated spoiler!). I am all for an expansion on the story, especially one that brings with it several hours of gameplay, new weapon blueprints, and the chance to be evil.
