BD Review: First Ever ‘Hellraiser: Revelations’ Review!

Yesterday was an interesting day, no? It was discovered that Dimension was screening Victor Garcia’s rushed Hellraiser: Revelations in a single solitary theater in Los Angeles, California (write your user reviews here). Upon confirming the story, we learned that this was actually a “cast and crew” screening that was open to the public. Big mistake. Bloody Disgusting’s Micah and BC infiltrated the screening and have returned with depressing news. Pinhead, and his franchise, continue to be dead.

Starring Steven Brand as the new Cenobite king, Sanny Van Heteren, Tracey Fairaway, Daniel Buran, and Devon Sorvari also were cast in the pic that follows two friends who unleash Pinhead.

While BC finishes up his review, inside you’ll find Micah’s thoughts that basically exclaim that at the least the gore is good. Sigh.

Uh, WTF? ‘Hellraiser: Revelations’ and ‘Children of the Corn’ NOW PLAYING?!

I just did a triple take. Apparently Dimension Films has secretly released two of their direct-to-disc titles in a lonely theater in California, today.

Both Hellraiser: Revelations and Children of the Corn: Genesis are playing at the Rave Motion Pictures (6081 Center Drive, Los Angeles, CA – (310) 215-3483).

We will unlock the films in our database in case some of you guys are able to attend and provide a few user reviews (Hellraiser, Children of the Corn). We’re all dying to know if they’re any good.

The Victor Garcia directed Revelations stars Steven Brand, Sanny Van Heteren, Tracey Fairaway, Daniel Buran, Devon Sorvari. It follows two friends who unleash Pinhead, who becomes their master of pain. Apparently, one of the friends has a change of heart. He backs out on his oath hoping to swap himself out with one of hi friend’s family members.

The Joel Soisson directed Children of the Corn, starring Barbara Nedeljakova, Billy Drago, Kelen Coleman and Tim Rock, begins on a trip to California, a family’s car overheats leaving them stranded in the home of a creepy couple and their kid.

‘Hellraiser: Revelations’ Gets Additional Shooting Days

Laster this week, Victor Garcia (interview) is getting back behind the camera for a few additional days of photography on Hellraiser: Revelations. Casting is underway with implications of adding some more deaths to the stand alone film. Penned by special effects artists Gary Tunnicliffe, the project was quickly assembled to avoid the Weinstein Company losing the rights to the franchise. Because of the urgency behind the shoot, Garcia was only allowed 2 weeks to film an entire movie. An additional few days could really help the end product. The plot will follow two friends who unleash Pinhead, who becomes their master of pain. Apparently, one of the friends has a change of heart. He backs out on his oath hoping to swap himself out with one of hi friend’s family members. Steven Brand, Sanny Van Heteren (interview), Tracey Fairaway, Daniel Buran, and Devon Sorvari all star.

Actress Sanny van Heteren Discusses ‘Hellraiser: Revelations’ Cenobites!

Cenobites are, of course, the centerpiece of any Hellraiser film, so when B-D spoke with actress Sanny van Heteren about her role in the latest sequel, entitled Revelations, we had to ask which of our favorite extradimensional demons would be returning this go-round. The answer: three. Disappointed? Blame the studio. See, that rather skimpy number, according to van Heteren, is due to budget constraints. Of course, this news may further add to the skepticism of fans already bummed that Doug Bradley won’t be reprising his role as Pinhead for the first time in franchise history. So besides Pinhead, which Cenobites can we expect, anyway?
