It’s widely known that the readers of Bloody Disgusting have their opinions about the SAW series. Whether you love it, hate it, or couldn’t care less, you can’t deny that the SAW films are capable of eliciting a reaction from viewers; but what about the reaction it gets from listeners? Every SAW film has a pretty intense soundtrack to match, and the wide usage of hard rock and heavy metal across all the releases is perfect for Bloody Disgusting readers. Here’s my rank of all seven films’ soundtracks from worst to best – but I’ll leave the actual movies talk up to you guys.
Back for the seventh installment of the SAW horror series this Halloween, moviegoers will once again cringe in their seats as blood, guts and body parts are up for grabs in the Lionsgate and Twisted Pictures’ SAW 3D, in theaters everywhere on October 29th. What started out as an indie horror movie in 2004 has turned into the most successful horror series of all time, and the films’ soundtracks have always been fitting counterparts, assaulting the senses in a manner that would make Jigsaw proud. But for the series’ grand finale, presented in bone chilling 3D for the first time, the right music was more important than ever because the film going experience will be one of complete sensory immersion. SAW 3D Music Inspired by the Film has risen to the challenge, and will street on October 26th.
The countdown began yesterday on Facebook, so check it out HERE
Artists already announced for the soundtrack are Saving Abel, Saliva, Dir En Grey, Krokus, Hinder, My Darkest Day, Karnivool (BADASS!!), Dead By Sunrise and Wagdug Futuristic Unity (feat. Hiroshi Kyono of The Mad Capsule Markets).
Saving Abel has sent Bloody-Disgusting their Top 10 Horror Sex Scenes! Now, I personally feel that this is a great choice for a Top 10 as there are SO many scenes that one could pick from! How about the sex scene in the new Friday the 13th? I honestly haven’t laughed that hard in a theater for at least 10 years. However, Saving Abel has taken this concept and twisted it on it’s head Exorcist-style! Check after the jump for the exclusive list!
