During the tenure of Abe Sapien’s sojourn he has come across a plethora of ghastly monsters of all shapes and sizes, but they stayed beneath the umbrella mutations, not keystone monsters from the horror genre. That all seems to be changing in “Abe Sapien: To the Last Man” where a classic monster rears its undead face. READ MORE
After having an incredible 2013 I’m not surprised that the 2014 debut of “Abe Sapien” continues the trend of greatness. The creative team is bringing together a unique story line in a diverse and vast universe that is accented by eye-gasmic art. Though this is only the first installment of a 3 part arc I’m already stoked. READ MORE

Abe Sapien has been on a journey of self-discovery for some time now, he’s fought in battle and ran from old friends but only now has he truly begun to see his path. This book is a visual masterpiece, Sebastián and Max Fiumara fill every panel with supreme quality that gives so much life to the story. Last month’s issue was slow and focused on plot development, this issue quickly picks up the intensity as, once again, Abe finds himself in trouble. READ MORE
Scott Allie, Editor-In-Chief at Dark Horse Comics, is a busy man to say the least. Aside from his non-stop work editing at Dark Horse, he also contributes regularly as a writer to the BPRD universe, and in case that wasn’t enough, he took on the role of Editor for the “CBLDF Annual Liberty 2013″, the newest anthology from Image Comics that benefits the efforts of the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund. The anthology boasts a pretty insane lineup of talent including work from Tim Seeley, Richard Corben, Joshua Williamson, Michael Moreci, Emi Lenox, and more.
Scott Allie took the time to chat with Bloody-disguting about “Abe Sapien”, the current state of the BPRD universe, and how it all ties into the “CBLDF Liberty Annual 2013″, which drops in October. READ MORE
There is only one word in the English language that can properly relay the masterpiece that is Abe Sapien: Dark and Terrible #3: WOW. This third installment of Abe Sapien’s own ongoing is everything I want in a book and more. Scott Allie has been doing a wonderful job tailoring Abe’s own unique story but the hat has to be tipped to artist Sebastián Fiumara and the ever impressive colourist Dave Stewart. Mayhem, action and most importantly plot twists make this story one of the best I have had the luxury of reviewing this year. READ MORE
The new ongoing series Abe Sapien: Dark and Terrible continues this week with an issue that really begins to delve into the origin of Abe, and perhaps his destiny, in the massive event occurring in B.P.R.D. Abe’s presence has been missed, and unlike the previous issue, we really get some good ol’ Abe action this time around. Scott Allie has really taken the reins from Migonal when it comes to the “Hell on Earth” event and he is doing a fantastic job of creating a thrilling story. On the other hand, Sebastián Fiumara has not been a staple in the B.P.R.D. world, but he is really making a name for himself here. READ MORE
