Canadian Trailer for ‘Scream 4′ Jam-Packed with New Footage!

Bloody Disgusting regular, and Scream junkie Joey M. tipped us off to a brand new international trailer for Wes Craven’s Scream 4 that features a TON of new footage. The movie actually looks pretty damn incredible, what say you? Watch the trailer inside! Unfortunately Sidney’s appearance also brings about the return of Ghostface, putting Sidney, Gale, and Dewey, along with Jill, her friends, and the whole town of Woodsboro in danger.

Sidney’s Motivation for Woodsboro Return in ‘Scream 4′

While Scream fan sites are having aneurysm over the story, the following is obviously from the opening act of Scream 4, and provides the fate of a character that I personally care zero about. The fact that this character’s death provides motivation for Sidney makes her return to Woodsboro all the more believable. Personally, they should include this in the synopsis. But for those of you who want to know NOTHING about Wes Craven’s Scream 4, I implore you to avoid reading on. Dimension Films opens the new trilogy in theaters April 15.

Early ‘Scream 4′ Test-Screening Review Raves

While the leaked synopsis provided way more info, fansite Scream-Trilogy (they might need to change the site’s name) claims to have a “verified as genuine” review of Wes Craven’s Scream 4. Unsurprisingly, a fan site regular LOVED it. “This outshines the 3rd one easily,” he explains adding, “The opening scene was hilarious and brutal…[it's] definitely the bloodiest of all of them.” The writer also exclaims that “the ending was insanity” and that it’s “easily the best of all the series.” It’s so incredibly vague that anyone could have claimed to have seen it. And it’s even more difficult to take a superfan’s word with any grain of salt as they may have loved it “just because.” Just for the sake of comparison, I’d like to see a more detailed review come in that actually exposes a bit of criticism. Dimension Films will release the fourth film on April 15.

Jamie Kennedy Continues to Tease ‘Scream 4′ Cameo

Way back in 2008 Scream star Jamie Kennedy had told Bloody Disgusting exclusively that the Weinsteins wanted him to return in Wes Craven’s Scream 4, which is now in the can for an April 15, 2011 release. Back in April CHUD had firmed up our breaking news. In a fresh interview with Ask Men, Kenny was asked about his rumored return as the hilarious movie buff “Randy”: “I can’t tell you that! You’ll have to watch and find out!” That’s obviously not a yes, but he didn’t deny it. Could Randy (or a twin, or maybe an old recorded video?) be back with new rules?

NECA’s ‘Scream 4′ Toy Announcement

Updated: Fun World – the creators of the Ghost Face mask – made their own version of the killer that’ll be included in the line. A blog website by the name of Idle Hands has posted an interesting story that could pertain to some serious plot points in Wes Craven’s Scream 4. According to the blog, NECA is back in the horror action figure business and have plans to release two new Scream action figures in time for the films release on April 15. This won’t be the first Scream figure from NECA, as the previous came as part of “Movie Maniacs”, but what makes one of the two new figs interesting is that it’s described as a “zombie” Ghostface. Does this mean there’s a major, major twist in the works, or is McFarlane bending his thinking brow like he did when he released his vision of the Witch from The Blair Witch Project? More soon, I hope.
