Ultraviolence is always a eye-catching way to start a chapter. Secret government projects are always fun too. It’s hard to miss when you throw in guns ablazing, father-son time on a macro scale, ultimatums, and truths into the spotlight in Clone #5. READ MORE

Charlie Adlard, Ryan Ottley, Brandon Seifert, and Joshua Williamson sat on the Skybound Comics panel. The Past, Present, and Future of Image Comics

In a year that included DC’s New 52, “Before Watchmen”, and Marvel’s “Avengers vs. X-Men”, 2012 represented more than just big business in mainstream comics. This year, Image Comics celebrated its milestone 20th anniversary. Against heavy competition from the Big Two, Image Comics, the indie publisher that could, stood its own ground in the industry with bestselling series like “Saga”, “The Walking Dead”, and “Chew”. While not all books thrived at Image, the company that was founded on creator-owned rights managed to maintain a strong voice against the traditional spandex adventures of leading publishers. GRAPHIC CONTENT PICK OF THE WEEK: Lonmonster – ‘The Walking Dead: Rise of the Governor’

With season two of AMC’s The Walking Dead under way, shattering records, the zombie craze is more alive than ever. The Walking Dead has always been that special something in the hearts of horror comic fans, and the series continues to find more advocates as it branches off into new mediums. Season one of TWD was proof that it can be successfully adapted to television, but can Kirkman do it again? Will TWD make for an exciting and psychologically horrifying novel as well? I strongly believe that TWD, despite how mainstream it becomes, will always stay true to its fans and always do its best to give a good name to the zombie movement. Rise of the Governor doesn’t simply retell events from the comics, it provides a first person origin story for the fan favorite villain known as ‘The Governor’. Just in time for the Halloween season, this is one book no TWD fan should pass up. Read on for the skinny…

OMFG Of The Day: The ‘Witch Doctor’ Is In And Ready For Some ‘Resuscitation’ This December!

Back before Brandon Seifert and Lukas Ketner’s “WITCH DOCTOR” began we made the prediction that the series would quickly become a classic among genre fans, and if the sell-out numbers for the series’ first story-arc are any indication of just how much potential the series has, then we feel pretty damned secure in that assumption. So it comes as no surprise that Skybound has announced an all new one-shot featuring the “unique” cast and crew entitled, “RESUSCITATION”. Below you can get your first look at the cover art and all the details…

OMFG Of The Day: The Witch Doctor Is In And Ready For Some Resuscitation This December!

WRITTEN BY: Brandon Seifert
ILLUSTRATIONS BY: Lukas Ketner

“Offering a great jumping on point for new readers, Witch Doctor: The Resuscitation will ask important questions of its readers. For instance, if you wake up in a bathtub of ice with a surgical incision on your side, but the hospital says you’ve still got two kidneys, where do you go for a second opinion? To the expert, Dr. Vincent Morrow, Witch Doctor, of course!”

OMFG Of The Day: The Survivors Pick Up The Pieces In The latest Issue Of Kirkman’s ‘The Walking Dead’!

Lately it feels as if Robert Kirkman’s “THE WALKING DEAD” has been dividing fans. Most, the hardcore of the lot, seem to be in love with the grisly and downright depressing turn that the series has taken of late, while the more casual readers (those who only discovered the series thanks to Frank Darabont’s hit TV series) seem turned off by the events that occurred in “NO WAY OUT”. Whatever the case, there has never been a better time to be a fan of the monthly, and beyond the break you can check out a 5 page sneak peek inside the 86th issue that hit shelves yesterday. EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW: The ‘Witch Doctor’ Is In – Seifert And Ketner Talk About The Biggest Debut In Horror Comics This Year!

This Summer might be one of the slowest in recent memory for the horror industry in film, and admittedly: that sucks. But luckily for horror aficionados, casual fans, and passers-by everywhere, the comic industry is still booming with new and interesting titles that are covered in the good ol’ blood n’ guts. However, out of all of the new upstarts that are hoping to find their footing this year, there are few that have even come close to being as unique and interesting as Brandon Seifert and Lukas Ketner’s upcoming “WITCH DOCTOR” from Robert Kirkman’s newly launched, Skybound Entertainment. The series which follows Doctor Vincent Morrow, Eric Gast, and Penny Dreadful is the first 100% original title to come from the new publisher, and with it it has brought along more buzz than a wicker mask over Nicolas Cage’s screaming head. Up until recently news on the title has been kept quiet, but now with just a few short weeks until the series debut the creative team behind then title took the time to sit down with me and discuss the book at length. Inside you can feast your eyes on the entire interview with Seifert and Ketner, where we cover everything from getting the series off the ground with Robert Kirkman (“THE WALKING DEAD”), the debut of issue #0 with “THE WALKING DEAD”, the series’ initial 4 issue run, and what lies ahead for Dr. Morrow and Co.
