Dimension Releases “Super Lame” Version Of ‘Scary Movie 5′ Poster; Pimps Newly Added Spoofs…

The entire internet began piling up on Scary Movie 5 after the incredibly lame new trailer (below) was released last week. According to critics, it looked as if Dimension Films did a bunch of reshoots to cram in spoofs of newer films arriving this year. And it appears they’re correct. A new synopsis promises that you’ll see bad pop culture jokes blended with references to Paranormal Activity, Mama, Sinister, Evil Dead, Inception and Black Swan when it hits theaters on April 12.

But the bizarre story here is that Dimension has just supplied us with a “new” one-sheet, which I’ve personally dubbed the “super friggin’ lame poster.” It’s the exact same one as previously released only all of the “cool”, if you can even call it that, has been removed. Snoop Dog now blows smoke over the creatures face, Charlie Sheen’s hilarious (not really) ghost boner is gone, Katrina Bowden looks less scary, as does Sarah Hyland. Huge fail here, but I guess this was to appease the dreaded MPAA?

Scary Movie 5 is directed by Malcolm Lee who teamed up and worked side by side with comedy director David Zucker. It features pop culture stars Ashley Tisdale, Charlie Sheen, Lindsay Lohan, Snoop Dogg, Katt Williams, Molly Shannon, Terry Crews, Simon Rex, Jerry O’Connell, Sarah Hyland, Katrina Bowden, Tyler Posey, Shad Moss aka Bow Wow, Kate Walsh, Heather Locklear, Mac Miller and Mike Tyson. Snoop Dogg…Er…Lion Guest Stars In New ‘Epic Rap Battles Of History’

Alright, this is just badass AND it’s perfectly timed for all this holiday cheer! The always awesome Epic Rap Battles Of History got a guest star this episode when Snoop Lion (the artist previously known Snoop Dogg) took on the role of Moses battling Santa Claus. My personal feeling is that Moses won. It’s not because I celebrate Hanukkah and it’s not because it’s Snoop behind the robes. It’s because he really did dominate that battle.

Is this horror-related? No. Is this awesome? Yes. Check out the video below and enjoy! READ MORE

Snoop Dogg Talks Potential ‘Hood of Horror’ Sequel

It’s the horror news no one was waiting to hear, but according to Snoop Dogg there will be a Hood of Horror sequel. Cue collective groan. The 2006 flick, directed by Stacy Title, was essentially a ghetto version of “Tales From The Crypt” with three tales of terror told by the Hound of Hell (Snoop Dogg) that revolve around the residents of an inner-city neighborhood whose actions determine where they will go in the afterlife. Hood of Horror also starred Danny Trejo and Daniella Alonso.

Bloody Disgusting’s Australian correspondent Maria Lewis spoke to the “dee oh double gee” when he was Down Under promoting his new album, “Doggumentary.” The rapper/actor said a sequel was something they were “definitely” considering.

New Methods of Mayhem Album Announced: Features Collaborations From Around The World

Tommy Lee has rocked every continent multiple times, sold millions of records with Motley Crue and on his own, done everything a musician dreams of doing, except he’s never made a record with the entire world.  The new Methods Of Mayhem album, now entitled A Public Disservice Annoucement, is set for release on September 21st and features Tommy Lee collaborating with the world.  Lee commented, “When I founded Methods in 1999, the whole purpose of the band was to be all over the place.  In keeping with that, this Methods isn’t anything like the last one. There’s no hip hop and there’s no roster of guest stars. This time, it’s me, my band, and the world.”  Please see below for the track listing for A Public Disservice Annoucement.
