Album Review: ReVamp ‘ReVamp’

Since the break-up of symphonic metal band After Forever, fans have been eagerly awaiting the new Floor Jansen project, ReVamp. Possessing one of the strongest voices in the genre, Floor’s classical training allows her vocals to soar from low growls to operatic heavenly heights. But in order to take full advantage of this voice, you need a band that can back it up. So the question begs, does the self-titled debut release from ReVamp measure up? Check after the jump to find out!

Album Review: Soilwork ‘The Panic Broadcast’

Soilwork is back with their eighth studio album, ‘The Panic Broadcast’. I’ve been listening to Soilwork since ‘Natural Born Chaos’ and have always enjoyed their albums, even though the past few have been a bit lackluster. So, when a new album was announced, it wasn’t even a question as to whether or not I was going to pick it up, it was just a plain fact. So, after two and a half years since their last album, ‘Sworn To A Great Divide’, how is Soilwork holding up? Check afterwards for my official review.

Soilwork Post New Song On MySpace

One band that I always enjoy listening to, Soilwork, have posted ‘Two Lives Worth of Reckoning’ off their new album, ‘The Panic Broadcast’, on their MySpace. I’ve checked it out and I’m loving it so far! It’s heavy but with great melody and singer Bjorn Strid is still impressing me with his vocal range. Plus, the production sounds incredibly tight. If this is what I’m to expect from the new album, count me in!
