Steven Wilson Unveils Title, Album Cover, And Release Date For New Album

Porcupine Tree mastermind Steven Wilson has unveiled a great deal of details for his upcoming third solo album. First of all, the title is The Raven That Refused To Sing (And Other Stories). Secondly, the album artwork, which was done by Hajo Mueller (and not Lasse Hoile(!!!)), can be seen below. Third, the album will be released Feb. 25th through Kscope Records.

Per Steven’s official website, “The album was written between January-July and recorded in Los Angeles in September with Steven’s current band line up of Guthrie Govan – lead guitar, Nick Beggs – bass guitar, Marco Minnemann – drums, Adam Holzman – keyboards, Theo Travis – saxophone / flute and engineered by legendary producer/engineer Alan Parsons.

A limited-edition 4-disc set will be released. It will feature a 128 page hardback book containing lyrics and ghost stories, illustrated by Hajo Mueller. There will also be stand alone double vinyl, CD and Blu-Ray editions.

Sebastian Bach To Release ‘Kicking And Screaming’ Solo Album

Iconic rocker Sebastian Bach will be releasing a new solo album on September 27th titled Kicking And Screaming. Bach claims, ”I could not be happier with my new album. The songs, performances and sound quality are beyond what I could have ever imagined. This is my best record yet and I can’t wait for all of you to crank it!” 

The album features virtuoso guitarist Nick Sterling and drummer Bobby Jarzombek (Iced Earth, Halford, Riot) and is produced by Bob Marlette (Black Sabbath, Shinedown, Atreyu, Filter).

Slash Releasing Solo Album and Hitting the Road March/April

Slash posted a few updates about his upcoming solo album via Twitter recently including… “Driving around listening to the analog mixes of my solo record, I gotta say it sounds awesome.” “It will be released in all formats including vinyl.”

He also commented on the release date and tour saying “The whole self titled record was recorded analog. It will be released March/April, tour starts around then too.”
