Swedish melodic metallers Soilwork have released a music video for “Spectrum Of Eternity”, which comes from their latest album The Living Infinite (review). The completely CGI clip features strong influences from the smash video game Bioshock as well as the French surreal comedy adventure The City Of Lost Children (which just so happens to be one of my absolute favorite films of all time). Swedish melodic metal band Soilwork will be releasing their new album The Living Infinite on Mar. 5th in the US. The album will feature a total 20 tracks across two CDs and will be released via Nuclear Blast Records.

In a video interview below, singer Bjorn “Speed” Strid discusses how the album was conceived, the recording process, and what it was like recording and writing with new guitarist David Andersson. Check it out below.

Soilwork And Exes For Eyes Members Announce Elegy Guitarworks

Bjorn “Speed” Strid (vocalist for Soilwork) and Dave Sheldon (guitarist for Exes For Eyes) have announced the opening of Elegy Guitarworks, a boutique guitar company that “…focuses on bringing Professional Quality instruments to the Cost-Conscious player.” The company will focus on 6/7/8 string guitars and 4/5/6/7 string basses. The company is based out of Toronto, Canada, where Strid spends half his time due to his girlfriend living there.

We’ve still got until March for the new Soilwork album The Living Infinite, which will be a double album. However, fans can now get a taste of the album by hearing a new song entitled “Spectrum Of Eternity”, which was streamed on Sweden’s Bandit Rock radio station. Note: the song below is not an official stream and it includes radio commentary at the beginning and end. Still, it gives a fantastic taste of what we’re going to get and, holy shit, does it slay. It’s fast, it’s melodic, it’s unrelenting. It’s pure fucking Soilwork and it’s got me more excited for them then I thought possible. Check it out below. READ MORE
