Ex-Sworn Enemy Guitarist, I See Stars, AND Sumerian Records Slam Falling In Reverse’s Ronnie Radke

Ex-Sworn Enemy guitarist Lorenzo Antonucci has put together a video (that was shot at the Sumerian Records offices) calling out Falling In Reverse vocalist Ronnie Radke (who used to be the singer of Escape The Fate) for his incredibly egomaniacal attitude that includes kicking support act I See Stars off of the “The Thug In Me Is You Tour”, throwing fans out of venues for simply wearing t-shirts or chanting “I See Stars!”, and, perhaps the most idiotic, throwing microphone stands into the audience at Six Flags in Jackson, NJ, causing physical harm to several fans AND banning all future metal shows from ever playing that venue again. Below is the video that includes fan interviews, news coverage, and footage of Radke being an egotistical prick. Also below are statements from I See Stars and Ronnie Radke. READ MORE

I play the role of zombie slaying bad mother fucker roaming the dessert looking for salvation. Instead I find a shack infested with all sorts of evil. Doesn’t matter what record is your favorite, we’ll be playing something from it. We’re very excited and are working really hard to make sure it’s going to be excellent.”

But all that doesn’t matter when compared to this tour poster:

Casey Lagos Announces Solo Project ‘Sealakes’

Sealakes, the new solo project from Casey Lagos debuted a video of Lagos recording the song Go Again on  www.myspace.com/sealakes.  Lagos plays drums, guitar, bass, piano and performs vocals for the project.  “I started playing drums and guitar when I was three years old.  I usually write songs by a riff appearing in my head and from there I can imagine the whole arrangement with drums” Lagos said.  Two songs Go Again and Every Heart appear on the myspace page and hint at the muscular yet melodic approach of the project.
Though only 22 Casey Lagos has been a professional musician for over six years.  The Orange County CA resident was a founding member of Stick To Your Guns who released their first album on Sumerian Records (The Faceless, Asking Alexandria) when he was sixteen.  Around the same time Lagos was playing drums for rhythmic hardcore unit, The Warriors which afforded him the experience and connections to give Stick To Your Guns a good kick off.  After years of touring and contributing writing for a significant portion of Stick To Your Guns sophomore album Comes From The Heart (Century Media 2008) Lagos left to pursue a different path.  ’After I was done playing with Stick To Your Guns I wasn’t sure what direction to head in.  I knew music was the only thing I ever did well in but there weren’t any doors open at the time.  It’s a crazy story but I went to a prayer group that’s part of my church. I told the lady running it that I just needed to see God’s direction clear as water and after praying she said God would give me a voice and he wants me to use it for him.  I had always had a clean singing voice since I was a kid, but that hit me like a ton of bricks. On the drive home I tried to scream, which i could never do before, and it came out with ease, every time I got goosebumps. I then had all the pieces to the puzzle, seeing as I could already write music, the vocals were all of a sudden there, and I knew what I had to do.’

Album Review: Stick To Your Guns ‘The Hope Division’

So, I want to apologize to you readers as I wanted to have this review up last week. However, considering last Wednesday was my birthday AND there is a lot being arranged for this music section, I kinda let this one slide by a wee bit. However, here it is and expect to have another review later on today.

stygthdcover Album Review: Stick To Your Guns The Hope Division
‘The Hope Division’ is Stick To Your Guns’ third full-length release. This album also features completely new members, except for vocalist Jesse Barnett, from the last album, ‘Comes From The Heart’. Stick To Your Guns is a melodic hardcore band that has influences of punk and metalcore, all blended with positive lyrics and energy. But just because they are positive doesn’t mean they don’t know how to kick ass. ‘The Hope Division’ is a very good example of how music can be aggressive, in your face and heavy without the need to be evil or pissed off. Check after the jump for more details.

Returners boasts the band’s most developed and anthemic material yet, guaranteed to set off fist pumping and sing-alongs at any show. The new album also features guest vocals from Brendan Foley of Betrayal, Tommy Green of Sleeping Giant and Mat Bruso (ex Bury Your Dead). Speaking on the spots vocalist Jonathan Vigil revealed “Well, were good friends with the band Betrayal and we all really like Brendan’s voice and we asked him and he was down to do it. Basically, it’s the same thing with Tommy from Sleeping Giant, except we specifically wanted him for the song “The Conflict” because of what the song is about and how it deals with the two sides of Christianity in the hardcore scene. Lastly, Shane (Frisby) who produced our record is really good friends with Mat Bruso and he called in a favor. Mat poured Coca-Cola all over himself in the vocal booth. It was awesome.” READ MORE
