“A prize-winning writer, Leiko(NAKATANI Miki), moves to a quiet sub-urban house to finish up her new novel with a help from the editor. That night while sleeping, she sees a man in a storage room transporting an object wrapped in cloth. She soon finds out that he is a renowned archaeologist, Professor Yoshioka(TOYOKAWA Etsushi), researching ancient mummies, and that object was a recently discovered mummy. Working late on her book, Leiko witneses a ghost and finds out that her room once belonged to a woman who had been misssing for a while. This brings unexplainable fear to Leiko as she starts to uncover more stories from the past.”

[Album Review] Stolen Babies ‘Naught’

I first learned about Stolen Babies a few months ago. Since then, I could’ve allowed myself to regret and mourn all the time that I hadn’t been listening to them. Rather than self-flagellating, I dove into their dark avant-garde world, as though I had purchased a ticket to some nightmarish carnival that tickled and teased every twisted and perverse avenue of my imagination.

And so it was that I entered listening to their latest album Naught, with images of American McGee’s Alice mingling with scenes from The City Of Lost Children, all housed in a carnival tent out of Killer Klowns From Outer Space. So, was this trip worth the price of admission or did I end up wanting a refund? Find out below. READ MORE

Twisted Music Video Of The Week Vol. 49: Devin Townsend Band “Vampira”

It’s been a slightly miserable day today in terms of the weather. It was overcast with a small breeze. It was the type of weather that makes me crave the fun of Halloween. I want rain. I want grey clouds. I want fog. I want leafless trees. All of this combined made me decide that the Twisted Music Video Of The Week was going to be “Vampira” from none other than Devin Townsend Band! The song comes from the 2006 album Synchestra (Inside Out Music).

A new track Devin Townsend Project‘s upcoming album Epicloud entitled “True North” was streamed earlier today. Listen to it here.

Devin Townsend Project just hit the road as co-headliners alongside Katatonia on the “Epic Kings & Idols” Tour. Paradise Lost and Stolen Babies are opening. Tour dates can be found below.

[Exclusive] Check Out The Album Artwork For Stolen Babies ‘Naught’!

Bloody-Disgusting is excited to bring you the exclusive album artwork premiere for Naught, the upcoming album from Stolen Babies! The artwork is deceptive, to say the least. At first glance, it seems very innocent and happy, showing a dark pink sheep in the middle of a “Who Framed Roger Rabbit Toon Town”-esque setting. But at closer inspection, things become more stranger, creating a sense of unease. The colors, while bright, have a dark tinge. The houses, seemingly happy, have a worried tilt to their eyes. And the sky, while blue and beautiful, has scratches and mars. Yup, something seems very strange in this image. You can check out the full artwork below.

The follow-up to 2006′s There Be Squabbles Ahead, Naught has a fall release date via No Comment Records.

Stolen Babies will be on the Epic Kings & Idols Tour with Devin Townsend, Katatonia, and Paradise Lost. Tour dates and artwork can be found below. READ MORE

[OMFG] This Is The Greatest Tour This Year

What is with amazing tours not having the decency to stop in my neck of the woods? Yesterday it was the Kansas/King’s X tour that got my hopes up before crushing them entirely. Today it has been announced that Devin Townsend Project and Katatonia will be headlining the “Epic Kings And Idols” tour, which sees support coming from Paradise Lost and Stolen Babies. DTP and Katatonia will alternate headlining each show.

DTP will be touring in support of their upcoming album Epicloud (no official release date announced) while Katatonia will be supporting their upcoming album Dead End Kings (coming out Aug. 28th). This tour also sees Paradise Lost back in the States after a five-year hiatus.

You can see all the tour dates below (No Detroit date means I’m weeping as I write this). READ MORE
