Metal Hammer has premiered a clip from the upcoming Ending Is The Beginning DVD, the tribute CD/DVD to Suicide Silence vocalist Mith Lucker, who died in November of 2012. The clip is of the song “You Only Live Once” and features Randy Blythe (Lamb Of God) on vocals and Robb Flynn (Machine Head) on guitars. It’s pretty incredible seeing everyone come together for an event like this.

Metal band Suicide Silence has announced that they will be entering the studio next week to begin recording their new album, which will be the first with new vocalist Eddie Hermida (ex-All Shall Perish). The album will be produced by Steve Evetts (Sepultura, The Dillinger Escape Plan).
Guitarist Mark Heylmun exclaims, “This record will be the grittiest, most meaningful piece of work we’ve ever stood behind. We cannot wait for everyone to hear it. Steve Evetts is someone we’ve worked closely with for a long while, not only on The Black Crown, but also on some instrumental demos just prior to the tragedy last Fall. Here we are a year later prepping to record the nastiest, heaviest, most disgusting work we’ve ever done. Expect the unexpected. This is for Mitch.”
The album is tentatively scheduled for a Summer 2014 release via Nuclear Blast Entertainment. READ MORE

British metalcore band Asking Alexandria are about to embark on the Monster Energy Outbreak Tour alongside As I Lay Dying, Memphis May Fire, and Attila. Suicide Silence was supposed to also be on the bill but the passing of singer Mitch Lucker has obviously required that band to pull off of the tour. Now, Sumerian Records label mates I See Stars have been added to the bill. They will be playing between Attila and Memphis May Fire. Tour dates and ticket information can be found here.
Asking Alexandria guitarist Ben Bruce states, “First and foremost I would like to talk about a dear friend of mine who was prematurely taken from us this month. Mitch Lucker was one of the kindest and most passionate people I have ever had the pleasure of calling my friend. My thoughts are not only with his family and friends, but also with the millions of people, worldwide, who Mitch helped to mould and inspire into the people they are today. A great man was lost who’s love and passion reached all corners of the globe. As many of you know, Suicide Silence were preparing to join us on our upcoming ‘Outbreak’ Tour. Due to the devastating circumstances they will no longer be joining us physically. They will however, Mitch included, be with us in spirit. We will go out on this tour with As I Lay Dying, Memphis May Fire & Attila to pay our tributes and respects to Mitch and his brothers in Suicide Silence. A portion of all tickets and official tour t-shirts sold will go to Mitch’s daughter for the Kenadee Lucker Education Fund.
“Suicide Silence could never be replaced on our tour as they are the only band in the world who could bring their element, intensity and power to the line-up. For the sake of giving the fans the best show we can under the circumstances, we have decided to add Sumerian family members I See Stars to the bill, NOT AS A REPLACEMENT BY ANY MEANS, but as another band who’s love and passion for music and their fans is as tried and true as ours. Now, more than ever, we need to come together to celebrate our collective love of music and to show compassion & solidarity in our scene. It’s time to put aside all petty differences and remember what it is that brings us all together, the music. Mitch- from myself and everyone else who will be taking part in this tour, you are forever in our hearts. This one’s for you. We love you. Cheers” READ MORE
Ex-Sworn Enemy guitarist Lorenzo Antonucci has put together a video (that was shot at the Sumerian Records offices) calling out Falling In Reverse vocalist Ronnie Radke (who used to be the singer of Escape The Fate) for his incredibly egomaniacal attitude that includes kicking support act I See Stars off of the “The Thug In Me Is You Tour”, throwing fans out of venues for simply wearing t-shirts or chanting “I See Stars!”, and, perhaps the most idiotic, throwing microphone stands into the audience at Six Flags in Jackson, NJ, causing physical harm to several fans AND banning all future metal shows from ever playing that venue again. Below is the video that includes fan interviews, news coverage, and footage of Radke being an egotistical prick. Also below are statements from I See Stars and Ronnie Radke. READ MORE

Footage of Mitch Lucker’s wife Jolie talking to fans who gathered at last night’s candlelight vigil has come onto the web. In it, Jolie confirms that Lucker was drinking and driving. You can watch the video below.
Around the 2:00 minute mark, Jolie says, “He was an alcoholic and it’s been a big battle. I tried to stop him. I was in front of him begging him not to leave the house. Begging him. Like, just seriously, for us, don’t leave. And he did. And this is what happened. It’s a wake up call. He’s an amazing man, he’s a wonderful father, and a great husband. And now he’s going to miss out on watching Kenadee grow because he decided to drink and drive.
Just don’t. Just think before you guys do something stupid. Please, learn from this. Please.”
It it still unsure if drinking and driving was the full cause of his passing or if something else happened. It will not be known until a full report is issued. Meanwhile, according to local news, an investigation surrounding the accident is underway. READ MORE

A video entitled “Exposing Metal Bands (satanic illuminati) PART 1″ from user AprilAndWayneShow has been slowly gaining interest on YouTube (as of this posting, the video has over 70k views). The video takes several metal bands, including Whitechapel, Veil of Maya, Suicide Silence, and more, and “proves” that their music, their visuals, and their lyrics all promote the worship of Satan and steer people away from the one true religion: Christianity.
Rife with spelling and grammar errors, the video and the “proof” is full of holes. For instance, in trying to convince the viewer that the musicians are possessed by the Devil, the video uses quotes directly from musicians such as “…It’s like a mysterious energy that comes from the metaphysical plane and into my body. It’s almost like being a medium…” (Marc Storace of Krokus) or, “…I’ve always considered tha there was some way where we were able to channel energy, and that energy was able to be, from another source, if you like, like a higher power or something, that was actually doing the work.” (Bill Ward of Black Sabbath).
Notice that neither of these quotes discusses whether it is God or Satan that is the “energy”. It’s simply the fact that these are metal musicians that makes them inherently evil.
The joke of a video can be seen below along with another video that, for as amusing as it is, is also very applicable in this situation. READ MORE
