Intense Trailer For ‘Re’ Goes For Quiet Insanity

We’ve got quick a look at a new project from Swedish filmmaker Andreas Lindergard (via Twitch) in the form of the trailer for RE.

The film “is a psychological thriller where we follow Emma as she returns to her childhood home only to find her past catching up with her. She is well aware that some things are not real, still she is drawn towards a path beyond reality. Emma also finds herself attracted to what scares her the most, the neighbor she can not remember ever having been living in the house close by. It is a film in the spirit of 60′s films, with some subtle visual references to movies like Repulsion and the like.

RE is currently is post production and is will hit festivals later this year! READ MORE

Stockholm, Sweden Has Just Basically Given Chris Brown The Finger

These are the things that make me love people. On Nov. 19th, Chris Brown is scheduled to play Stockholm, Sweden at the Ericsson Globe, which seats approximately 16,000 for concerts. However, not everyone is thrilled by the prospect of an egotistical, unapologetic woman beater playing their city.

An unnamed person/group has taken to putting up advertisements for the concert with a large picture of Rihanna‘s brutally bruised and beaten face as a reminder of the actions of Brown two and a half years ago. According to Gawker, this person/these people are part of a larger group that wants the concert canceled. The posters that are being put all over town can be seen below (Warning: It’s still not easy to look at).

Sweden’s official Twitter account (which is run by a different citizen each week) posted the following statement: “In Stockholm people are showing their dislike that Chris Brown is coming to town by posting these posters.

It’s things like this that make me believe in people. If this bastard can win Grammys two years after basically publicly beating a woman, and then show pretty much no remorse whatsoever, he deserves to have it shoved in his face every chance possible. You can see my own personal rant against Mr. Woman Beater right here. READ MORE

Yellow Affair Gets Into Bed With ‘Dark Water’

The promising looking Swedish thriller Dark Water (Mörkt Vatten) opened in that country early last month. Now, Yellow Affair has acquired sales rights to that film, directed by Rafael Edholm. It stars Helena af Sandeberg, Sverrir Gudnason and Andrzej Chyra. Hopefully this means they’ll be able to drop it into the US (among other territories).

Never mix business with pleasure. Daniel is an ambitious real estate agent on the verge of landing partnership in the firm. He is also having an affair with the lovely Marie, the boss’s wife. Together they take the liberty of spending a passionate weekend together in an extravagant designer country house out in the Stockholm archipelago – a house he is to sell on Monday. Everything is going well until George the handyman turns up. George, clearly a tortured soul, has a judgmental streak. When he sees what’s going on he begins to test and administer his own sense of justice. And once he starts, there’s no turning back. George, the handyman, knows how to finish every job.
