I did some serious slacking the past 2 years and didn’t post my Best Horror Game articles like I did from 2007-2009. But I’m going to make it all up to you guys now. It’s easy for me to post my favorite horror games of the year, but I’m more curious about what games YOU guys liked the best. As Free Comic Book Day 2011 is already shaping up to be the largest year in the annual event’s 10 year history, some of the industires biggest names are throwing their names into the ring, and one such company is Top Cow Comics and their long running series “THE DARKNESS”. HellDescent.com, an excellent little horror videogames blog got exclusive confirmation that Mike Patton (Of Faith No More and Mr. Bungle) will indeed be back to voice The Darkness in “The Darkness II”. I was also surprised to read that Mike also did voices in Portal and Left 4 Dead.

After a small amount of investigating, I read that he was the voice of the Anger Sphere in Portal, and he voiced most of the special infected zombies in Left 4 Dead. His voicing of The Darkness (in The Darkness) was incredible unique and creepy, and I’m glad he signed on for the sequel because I don’t think it would be the same without him.

(Update) After a refresh of the article on Hell Descent, the confirmation they were given was somewhat retracted. I’m assuming they aren’t officially allowed to announce his involvement, but it pretty much seems inevitable. READ MORE
