Chad Michael Murray Talks ‘The Haunting In Georgia’

I caught up with actor Chad Michael Murray (“One Tree Hill”, House Of Wax) last night on the red carpet for the Eyegore Awards (which kicked off this year’s Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Hollywood). And he was briefly able to fill us in a bit on his role in the upcoming The Haunting In Georgia, the followup to The Haunting In Connecticut.

“I can’t tell you when it comes out, but I can tell you that you’ll dig it! I play a souther prison guard whose wife and daughter are supposedly schizophrenic. It’s the second in the trilogy – you’ve got Connecticut, Georgia and New York. The first one was really great and we hope to follow up that success nicely in Georgia.” Not much… but we’ll keep you posted on that release date.

This year’s Halloween Horror Nights dates are September 21, 22, 28, 29 and October 5, 6, 7, 12, 13, 14, 18, 19, 20, 21, 25, 26, 27, 28 and 31.

A horror film for 10-year-old’s. Erm, right. That isn’t exactly selling it to the rest of us, but The Haunting In Georgia star Katee Sackhoff insists it’s a good thing.

The former “Battlestar Galactica” spoke to Bloody Disgusting’s Maria Lewis exclusively from the Supanova Pop Culture Expo in Brisbane about the sequel to Lionsgate’s 2009 The Haunting in Connecticut and said it’s got thrills for all the family. Details inside.

Shooting is scheduled to begin pretty soon on Lionsgate’s The Haunting in Georgia, their sequel to The Haunting in Connecticut that will be directed by Eden Lake‘s Tom Elkins. Starring Emily Alyn Lind, Chad Michael Murray, shortly after moving into their ideal new home, a couple grows concerned when their young daughter begins encountering mysterious strangers that no one else can see. The couple’s greatest fear is realized when they themselves begin to witness terrifying phenomena in and around the house, providing clues that could unlock a chilling mystery that has remained a closely guarded secret for generations.
