Get ready to run with the pack again, as Anchor Bay Entertainment unleashes The Howling Reborn October 18th on Blu-ray and DVD.

An all-new, original chapter directed by Joe Nimziki, the much anticipated Anchor Bay Films release stars Lindsey Shaw (“Pretty Little Liars,” “10 Things I Hate About You”), Landon Liboiron (Fox’s upcoming series “Terra Nova,” “Degrassi: The Next Generation”) and Ivana Milicevic (Casino Royale, Vanilla Sky). Described within industry circles as “Twilight with bite,” The Howling Reborn deftly combines romance, action and thrills that will have audiences worldwide embracing their inner lycanthrope!

This afternoon we scored the first clip, which unfortunately doesn’t put any of the actual transformed werewolves on display. I guess you can say the clip is pretty tame and goes up in flames. Check it out below. Click the image for the gallery:

Anchor Bay has set an October 18 DVD/Blu-ray date for Joe Nimziki’s The Howling Reborn, which stars Landon Liboiron, Lindsey Shaw, Ivana Milicevic. No specs or art have been released yet.

“When the lights go down … The Moon will rise … And a Legend will be REBORN

On the eve of his high school graduation, unremarkable Will Kidman finally bonds with the girl he has long yearned for, reclusive Eliana Wynter. But he also discovers a dark secret from his past… that he is about to become a werewolf. Now, in an effort to fight destiny and save their love as well as their lives, they must battle not only Will’s growing blood lust but an army of fearsome beasts bent on killing them… and then, us all. ”

The legend of The Howling began more than 30 years ago, with the publication of Gary Brandner’s best-selling novel and the subsequent film adaptation written by Academy Award nominated John Sayles (Lone Star, Spiderwick Chronicles) and directed by Joe Dante (Gremlins, InnerSpace), the success of which ushered in a new screen era of werewolves. Before there was “Team Jacob,” there was Karen White, and Nimziki’s reboot of The Howling saga is being described in industry circles as “Twilight with bite” with the deft mix of romance and action that audiences worldwide are craving.

At Long Last, We Have A New ‘Howling’ Movie

Believe it or not, it’s been 15 years since the last Howling sequel, 1995′s New Moon Rising. A remake of the original is threatened from time to time, but otherwise it seemed the series had finally been silver bulleted. Not so fast. Today, Anchor Bay announced that they have acquired distribution for all English speaking territories for the appropriately titled The Howling: Reborn, which is currently in post-production. I assume it will have no connection to any of the other sequels, not that I can blame them based on the ones I’ve seen. They put the “The” back in the title though, so there’s something. Joe Nimziki wrote and directed the flick, and according to IMDb, Erin Agostino is in the cast. Full press release, including a truly wretched description (“Twilight with bite!”) is below. No word yet if the werewolves will be part marsupial.

Bloody Disgusting learned that Landon Liboiron, Lindsey Shaw and Ivana Milicevic will all star in Moonstine Entertainment’s The Howling Reborn, which is currently in post-production under the direction of Joe Nimziki. We caught a look at the promo trailer that actually looked pretty awesome. On the eve of his high school graduation, unremarkable Will Kidman finally bonds with the girl he has long yearned for, reclusive Eliana Wynter.
