On the heals of its frightening home entertainment release of Outcast, Indomina Releasing and Bloody Disgusting Selects is adding another ghoulish thriller to its release titles, The Pack, starring a critically acclaimed cast, Yolande Moreau, Emile Dequenne, Benjamin Biolay, as well as Phillippe Nahon and stage director and theater actor, Geroges Lini.

Directed and written by Franck Richard, the French creature feature is now available on both DVD and Digital VOD. Read on to digest two gross clips, one which just may raise the dead….

‘The Pack’ follows Charlotte (Emilie Dequenne), a beautiful but rough around the edges kind of girl, who drives a beat-up station wagon in the countryside of northern France. Her journey takes a turn when she picks up a mysterious hitchhiker (Benjamine Biolay), with whom she strikes an unusual bond. Stopping at a roadside diner, her new companion strangely disappears, and Charlotte finds herself knocked unconscious and held captive. She soon encounters a peculiar and disturbed woman, La Spack, (Yolande Moreau), and discovers that her blood is being used to feed a “pack” of flesh-eating ghouls.

Indomina Releasing will unleash French ghouls on DVD September 27 with Franck Richard’s The Pack (review), which will also hit VOD on a yet-to-be-determined date.

UK Trailer, Clip and Stunning Art for ‘The Pack’

While Indomina Releasing figures out what they want to do with the film, the UK will release Franck Richard’s creature feature The Pack on DVD and Blu-ray July 4.

Inside you’ll find the official UK trailer, new clip, and a piece of incredible new art from Graham Humphreys (A Nightmare on Elm Street, The Evil Dead).

Alone on a road trip, Charlotte (Émilie Dequenne — ‘Brotherhood of the Wolf’) stops at the side of an isolated side to pick up a hitchhiker, Max (Benjamin Biolay). But when the pair pulls into a truck-stop restaurant a few miles later, Max goes to the bathroom — and disappears. Puzzled, Charlotte returns to the restaurant that night to look for him, only to become ensnared by La Spack (Yolande Moreau – ‘Amélie’, ‘Gainsbourg’), the sinister matriarch of a strange and terrifying ‘pack’. Before long, Charlotte realises that she is next on the menu…

Bizarre New Look at French Creature Feature ‘The Pack’

While I wasn’t a huge fan, BC quite enjoyed Franck Richard’s French creature feature The Pack (La Meute). Acquired by Indomina Releasing for release later this year, inside we got our hands on a bizarre new image, along with the international poster. In addition, the French trailer has FINALLY been released!

Charlotte is alone on a road trip. On an isolated side road, she picks up Max, a hitchhiker, who disappears in the bathroom of a truck-stop restaurant a few miles later. Puzzled, Charlotte comes back at night to look for him but gets caught by La Spack, a singular woman in charge of an odd pack. Charlotte quickly realizes….she’s next on the menu.

Creature Feature ‘The Pack’ Finds a US Distributor

Indomina Releasing has acquired Franck Richard’s The Pack, a french horror pic that’s been playing the festival circuit for most of the year. It was produced by the same company behind Inside. No release plans have been set yet. While driving through a northern rural wasteland, Charlotte picks up Max, a hitchhiker. They stop in a truck-stop restaurant run by a woman named Spack. When Max disappears in the bar, Charlotte decides to investigate and things take a turn for the worse. Charlotte finds herself in Spack’s gruesome human farm, with other prisoners, semi-alive or dead, reared for their blood to feed Spack’s “kids”- a pack of blood thirsty ghouls, who come out of the earth each night to be fed fresh human blood.
