Here’s A Chance To Get Your Music In ‘The Secret World’

Players of the fantasy/horror PC game The Secret World now have a chance to get their music heard within the game. Per the press release, “There are several locations in The Secret World where modern music can be heard, such as shops, bars, diners and nightclubs etc. The music sent in by the winners will be implemented in such fitting locations in-game, where anyone can hear them.”

Audio Director Simon Poole comments, “There are a lot of talented and dedicated people in the community, and we are lucky to have a game like The Secret World where their music can fit in perfectly. We already have many artists contributing with their music to the game, and to now give players the opportunity to let their music sound across the radios of The Secret World is even more exciting.”

The Secret World kicked quite a heavy load of baggage off of its subscribers shoulders. That baggage is the paid subscription. I must admit I was friggen pumped for The Secret World. But once that one month free trial ended, the honeymoon was over. It wasn’t cheap to keep the fun going, so I put the game on hold until I could set aside some time to make paying for the subscription worth while. Well, now I don’t have to worry about it! And neither do you. Buy the game, play FREE FOREVER. They do have a monthly subscription you can still get. With it you get: “10 USD/EUR per month which can be spent in the in-game store, the ‘Time Accelerator’ item that grants double experience gain for one hour each day, a fixed 10% discount to everything in the in-game store, and more.” Check out a video past the break!

Fucking Cthulhu is in this game? Why didn’t anyone tell me this? Look, if you weren’t interested in this game already, Cthulhu should immediately make this worth your time. I mean, come on, it’s Cthulhu. So The Secret World is out today and it looks pretty great. I spent about an hour with it last night and it’s unlike any other game I’ve ever played, and I mean that in a very good way. The unique blend of sci-fi, fantasy and horror helps it stand out from the myriad other MMOs out there. Head past the break for the launch trailer!

Imagine having a girlfriend/boyfriend who didn’t care what you did. You could go about your day without being hounded. You could sit around all day eating pizza and playing video games, without fear of ever having to stop. Well in The Secret World you can build your character however you please. Just because you have great defense doesn’t mean you have to have massive bulky armor on. I can still rock a hoodie while fighting off a fucking dragon?! Fuck yeah you can.

The Secret World is a game I’ve been way too excited about for way too long. If you hang around here at all you probably already know that. Well, in the lull that is usually summer video game releases The Secret World will be making an appearance at the perfect time. June 19th of this year TSW will be releasing on the PC, and I will say goodbye to the sun until September. Originally slated (I hate that word so I’ll use projected) for April, upon the massive beta testing they decided to push it back to invest more time in development and making everything great.

Make sure if you haven’t that you sign up for the beta because in the coming months they’ll be opening it up a lot more than before. No more closed beta, a lot more open beta events. Try before you buy! I tried it, and just as I thought I love it. Can’t wait. READ MORE

They aren’t holding back here on the size of your enemies. Massive, scary, blind, bloody, bleeding, skulls, things growing from eyes. Pulled straight from your nightmares if you ask me.

From now on you can expect new episodes of the podcast to go up every second sunday of the month. I suppose those of you who enjoy surprises might not be too fond of the lack of unexpected episodes, but as my grandpa always says, tough shit, (don’t listen to him, he’s a mean dude.) The Secret World keeps getting cooler and cooler. And even better, it gets dark, horror dark. Take the video below. It shows Solomon Island/The Savage Coast which is basically a huge empty town, which was most likely taken over by monsters, demons, zombies and the like. I absolutely cannot wait to get this game.

I don’t play MMOs. I tried Final Fantasy XI a couple times, but I just couldn’t deal with it. Maybe it was because it was on PC, or maybe because I didn’t have any friends to play it with. I am however 100 percent ready to devote my life to The Secret World. If I can get a couple of friends by my side then I would be totally set. The dev diary below goes in depth on the story and missions of the game.

The really great thing is the amount of voiced characters. It really brings a game to life having the emotions of all the many characters being voiced and acted out. The game was said the be released for the PC and Xbox 360 (release dates unknown), but I’m still holding my breath on a 360 verison. READ MORE

The Secret World is an MMO. Let’s not beat around the bush about it. I’m excited for it. I would never play WOW, but I can get into The Secret World. It basically takes place modern day, except the world is a much different place. Think monsters, zombies, vampires, if you watch the video below, every rumor you’ve ever hear isn’t a rumor. The fountain of youth is poisoned, there is a city on the moon, the earth is hollow, the Tower of Babel never fell. That’s just a few of the things this game will be showing us. Watch.

I’ve never been an MMO person but this game has my attention and has had it since the first zombie filled trailer. Modern day me, can have magical powers, swords, guns, whatever I want to save the world from all of these unleashed horrors. I have even more faith in the game since E.A. plans to publish the game alongside developers Funcom. And as of right now it is still being released on the Xbox 360 as well as the PC. This is exactly the kind of game I’m looking forward to playing with a bunch of my friends. READ MORE

The Secret World has been on my radar for a while now, but it has been in development for many many years. I haven’t yet gotten into any online MMOs, but this one is looking like it is going to be my 1st. The thing that sets The Secret World apart from just about all other MMOs, is that there is no linear path for your character. Watch the video below to find out exactly what I mean.

I’ve been pretty excited about The Secret World for quite a bit now. The thing that really hooked me was the trailer below. But that isn’t all the game is going to be about. That’s just one town in the game. Not only are you going to up against zombies, but vampires, werewolves, monsters, EVERYTHING.

The Secret World will be an online MMO. Yes that doesn’t really fit into a lot of peoples gaming, but if they keep on with the path they are going, this could be just the type of game a lot of us are looking for. The Secret World went into pre-production in 2002. 8 years later here we are finally getting just a little taste of what’s to come. In the middle of 2003 most of the people working on the game were transferred over to the development of the game “Dreamfall”.
