The comic “Ghouly” follows four sweet, young monsters — a wolf boy, a kid zombie, a young sea monster and the son of the boogeyman plus their flight-challenged pet bat — who have a hard time fitting in with the “normal” human kids until they find each other.
Esmail’s script will follow two friends — a young boy looking to contact his dead father and a young zombie seeking a way to come back to life — who set off on an adventure.
Coming off the release of Lovely Molly Image Entertainment is putting Martyrs director Pascal Laugier’s The Tall Man in limited theaters on August 31. Starring Jessica Biel, Jodelle Ferland, Stephen McHattie, William B. Davis and Samantha Ferris, we’ve now landed a brand new still, along with word that there’s an official website and Facebook.
Here’s the official plot crunch, with a trailer and poster forthcoming: “In an isolated, slowly dying mining town, children are vanishing without a trace – abducted, the townsfolk whisper, by a mysterious entity known locally as “The Tall Man.” Town nurse Julia Denning (Jessica Biel) seems skeptical…until her young David disappears in the middle of night. Frantic to rescue the boy, Julia lives every parent’s darkest nightmare in this twisting, shock-around-each-corner thriller.”
