The release comes just under 28 years after the band released their debut album Killing Is My Business…And Business Is Good! Thrash metal legends Megadeth have commenced recording their as-yet-untitled 14th studio album, which will be released on an as-of-yet-undetermined record label. This is the follow up to 2011′s Thirteen, which was released on Roadrunner Records. The band has since split from that record label. The group will be working with producer Johnny K (John Karkazis), who has worked with Disturbed, Machine Head, and many more.

Megadeth has released a lyric video for Whose Life (Is It Anyways), which comes off their latest album Thirteen. The video shows a rebellious crowd led by a man who apparently needs a Breathe Right strip facing off against a riot squad. Now, I’m not sure if this really qualifies as a lyric video or not. Yes, all the lyrics are presented at the appropriate times but there is much more going on. Obviously, quite a bit had to be filmed in order to get the final product. Hitting theaters sometime in 2013 will be Thirteen, a new horror film from Universal, Strike Entertainment and Energy Entertainment.
Ostensibly it’s supposed to be in the Flatliners mold, but I’m not sure how a found-footage possession film can really compare. We’ll see soon enough though!
Per Variety, “Universal has pre-emptively bought ‘Thirteen,’ a spec by Benjamin Magid, and set it up with Uni-based Strike Entetrainment and Brooklyn Weaver at Energy Entertainment.
