Commence The Apocalypse With This Gory And Amazing ‘V/H/S/2′ Clip!!!

V/H/S/2 hit VOD last week and this clip is one of the reasons everyone is talking about it. You can find the iTunes and Apple TV link here. Other outlets carrying it should also include Amazon (link link here), AT&T UVerse, Charter, Comcast, Cox, Google Play, Playstation 3, Sudden Link, Time Warner Cable, Verizon Fios, VUDU and Xbox Zune. The clip below (via Machinima) is from the Gareth Evans and Timo Tjahjanto segment – “Safe Haven” – and I can’t help but grin with delight whenever I see it. What follows these events is “off the hook” as the kids might say.

In the film directed by Simon Barrett, Adam Wingard, Gareth Evans, Eduardo Sanchez, Gregg Hale, Jason Eisener and Timo Tjahjanto, “Inside a darkened house looms a column of TVs littered with VHS tapes, a pagan shrine to forgotten analog gods. The screens crackle and pop endlessly with monochrome vistas of static—white noise permeating the brain and fogging concentration. But you must fight the urge to relax: this is no mere movie night. Those obsolete spools contain more than just magnetic tape. They are imprinted with the very soul of evil.” Be sure to write your review here!! READ MORE

V/H/S/2 (S-VHS)

From the demented minds that brought you last year’s V/H/S comes V/H/S/2, an all-new anthology of dread, madness, and gore. This follow-up ventures even further down the demented path blazed by its predecessor, discovering new and terrifying territory in the genre. This is modern horror at its most inventive, shrewdly subverting our expectations about viral videos in ways that are just as satisfying as they are sadistic. The result is the rarest of all tapes—a second generation with no loss of quality.

‘V/H/S/2′ NOW On VOD! Here’s An Exclusive New Look…

My mind is still spinning is disbelief that we already have V/H/S/2 for you guys. This is 2013, so Magnet Releasing decided to get you this insane sequel as quickly as inhumanly possible. While it’ll also be in theaters on July 12 (please check it out if it’s near you), the found-footage anthology is now available on various VOD platforms including iTunes (link here), Amazon, AT&T UVerse, Charter, Comcast, Cox, Google Play, Playstation 3, Sudden Link, Time Warner Cable, Verizon Fios, VUDU and Xbox Zune.

We’re extremely proud of the first V/H/S, but we definitely took this in a new direction. To compare the two would be like comparing apples and oranges; the first was an experimental project, while V/H/S/2 (still S-VHS in my mind) is a something that we purposely made more humorous, with a furious pace. Again, we’re aiming to give you guys a good time and not trying to “fool” you into believing this is real. Grab some popcorn, a few friends, and enjoy the ride – and then return here to write your reviews. We want to always learn and get better because we make these for you. Thank you all for the continued support here at Bloody Disgusting. We love you.

This latest tape features the works of Gareth Evans (The Raid) & Timo Tjahjanto (Macabre), Eduardo Sanchez (The Blair Witch Project, Lovely Molly) & Gregg Hale, Jason Eisener (Hobo With A Shotgun), Adam Wingard (You’re Next, A Horrible Way To Die) and Simon Barrett (You’re Next, A Horrible Way To Die), the latter of which will be making his directorial debut on the film.

Now in limited theaters and VOD platforms everywhere is Magnet’s The ABCs of Death, the perfect movie for a group outing this weekend.

We’ve been provided with an exclusive clip from the anthology, which comes from Deadgirl director Marcel Sarmiento’s incredible “D is for Dogfight.” Watch as man fights beast for the ultimate revenge.

In this mega-anthology, “Twenty-six directors. Twenty-six ways to die. The ABCs of Death is perhaps the most ambitious anthology film ever conceived with productions spanning fifteen countries and featuring segments directed by over two dozen of the world’s leading talents in contemporary genre film. The directors were then given free reign in choosing a word to create a story involving death.

[Random Cool] Man With Camera Eye Probably Hasn’t Seen ‘V/H/S/2′ Yet!

While you guys haven’t seen V/H/S/2 yet, I’m wondering if a screening of Adam Wingard’s segment might give Canadian Filmmaker Rob Spence pause before going ahead with his plan to have a working camera for an eye, though I suppose odds are slim it will actually lead to a supernatural encounter.

Per Unbelievable Facts, “[Spence] damaged his right eye in a childhood accident and is determined to replace it with a digital camera. “Team Eyeborg” has just succeeded in fitting Spence with an artificial eye containing a working LED – a step towards a camera-containing synthetic eye.

Right now, the LED records visual information and sends it to a computer. But it sounds like the ultimate goal is to set up a configuration that not only records information, but allows Spence to see stereoscopically again. Obviously I think this is a super cool endeavor and I wish Spence and his team all the luck in the world. I also hope this new eye doesn’t cause him to see too much.

The film stars Ray Sahetapy, the veteran Indonesian actor who played the crime boss Tama in The Raid.

Developed by The Mo Brothers from a story by Nightmare Detective producer Ushiyama Takuji, “Killers is an international horror-thriller revolving around a pair of serial killers who discover one another on the internet.
