Bloody-Disgusting has scored another awesome Top 10 list, this time from Dave Tejas, the enigmatic frontman of the punk band Krum Bums. Not content with giving us his Top 10, Dave’s list goes all the way up to 11 (HA!). Check out the awesome list after the jump!
Seriously, did you really think we’d leave out Chibi’s Top 10 list? No way! I saved this one for last because her list features some of my absolute favorites, such as Session 9 (what a brilliant movie!). However, I post this list and heave a sigh of sadness for this is the last entry in our week of The Birthday Massacre Top 10 Lists. I’d like to take this opportunity to thank Rainbow, Rhim, Nate Manor, Owen, Falcore, and Chibi for putting together these amazing lists! You all rock!
It’s been one awesome week, what with all these great Top 10 lists from The Birthday Massacre! Today brings the second-to-last Top 10 list from The Birthday Massacre. After the jump, you can find Owen’s Top 10 favorite horror movies as well as a little explanation for each choice. Personally, I find his reasoning for The Thing to be quite hilarious (and 100% accurate).

With their shameless use of synths, infectious songs and, pardon my chauvinism, a smoking hot singer, what is there to dislike about this band? Deron Miller of World Under Blood and CKY is no slouch when it comes to horror, trust me on this. The guy has a deep appreciation for not only the films, but also their history and their impact. Because of this, he has put together a fantastic list of his Top 10 Bloodiest Movies in horror! Not only do you have a great list, but you’ve got descriptions with so much information, you’ll feel like you learned a thing or two today.

Fresh off their tour with Egypt Central and Candlelight Red, Meir Yaniv, guitarist/vocalist of rock band Abused Romance, has sent Bloody-Disgusting his Top 10 Horror Movies. There are several great flicks on the list and one that makes greater sense the more you think about it. Coming out July 26th is Fullforce‘s debut album, One, which is one hell of a sci-fi metal powerhouse album. The band features members of Cloudscape, Hammerfall, Yngwie Malmsteen, Narnia, and Heed. Detroit electronic rocker Celldweller has sent Bloody-Disgusting his Top 10 Horror Movie list and it’s full of some fun and awesome choices! Several of them are VERY unorthodox and some might make you question whether or not they are horror. Well, to Celldweller they fit the bill and I’m not going to argue (because I honestly feel that all the unorthodox ones can be considered horror in their own right).
Hard rock act Get Scared are gearing up to release their upcoming album Best Kind Of Mess on July 12th via Universal Motown Records (pre-order HERE). The album is produced and engineered by John Feldmann (Atreyu, The Used, Goldfinger). You readers seemed to love Piranha 3D. No, seriously, look at the user ratings. Well, you’ve got writer Josh Stolberg to thank for that. The man is also the writer behind the Sorority Row and is the co-producer on the upcoming Piranha 3DD. Here’s some more movie news directly from the mouth of Josh: “I’m producing a horror movie called “The Expedition” shooting in September, and directing a horror-thriller called “Stowaway” later this year. Recent non-horror projects include writing and directing the indie film Conception making the rounds at film festivals across the country (www.conceptionmovie.com), a remake of Hitchcock’s To Catch a Thief at Paramount, and a film adaptation of Helen DeWitt best-selling book, “The Last Samurai“. “
My Darkest Days lead guitarist Sal Coz Costa has given Bloody-Disgusting his Top 10 favorite horror movies, which you can check after the jump. These guys shot to the top of the US mainstream charts with their hit Porn Star Dancing (check out the uncensored version here), which featured Zakk Wylde (Black Label Society, Ozzy Osbourne) and Chad Kroeger (Nickelback). Eric Powell of 16Volt has sent Bloody-Disgusting his Top 10 Horror Movie list! 16Volt‘s latest album, Beating Dead Horses, came out last week, so make sure to pick up your copy at the Metropolis Records store.
Deafheaven vocalist George Clarke was gracious enough to share his Top 10 Horror Movie List. There was definitely one in particular I was surprised to see mentioned. Also if you can make it out to your local record store I’d strongly suggest to pick up Deafheaven’s debut album “Roads To Judah”. If you can’t grab it there pick it up from Deathwish Inc.!
Bloody-Disgusting has scored an awesome Top 10 Horror Movie list from none other than Nivek Ogre (Skinny Puppy, Ohgr, Repo! The Genetic Opera)!
