Counting Crows And The Wallflowers Announce Summer Tour

Alright, so there is pretty much no way that I can relate this to horror off the top of my head. However, this tour is just way too awesome to not let you all know about. Counting Crows and The Wallflowers, both huge 90′s bands, have announced that they will be embarking on a 21-date N. American tour this summer. All tour dates can be seen below (I’ll be at the Rochester Hills show on July 4th, no doubt about it).

I’ve always loved listening to these two bands. The Wallflowers’ “One Headlight” is one of my favorite 90′s songs while Counting Crows’ “Colorblind” will always be one of the most beautiful songs I’ve heard. READ MORE

Killswitch Engage Announces US Headline Tour: Dates Inside

Metalcore band Killswitch Engage has announced a full string of US headlining tour dates. Support will come from As I Lay Dying, Miss May I, and Affiance. The tour kicks off in Oklahoma City and wraps up just over a month later in Joliet.

Vocalist Jesse Leach comments, “We look forward to sharing this tour with our old friends and brothers in metal As I Lay Dying. I personally have never had the chance to tour with them and I am looking forward to having such a quality band out with us to give this tour even more fire! We will also be joined by a talented and up-and-coming band Miss May I and a new band we’re all excited to see live called Affiance. Thanks to all the U.S. fans for your support! Our live show will be full-on energy with all of us ready to take this to a whole new level.

Bassist Mike D. adds, “We are super excited to be back out with our good buds in As I Lay Dying! They are some of our favorite dudes to hang with on the road, so assumptions are high that utter chaos shall ensue. There will be so much metal riffage — you could build your own Carnival Cruse Ship. That’s right, ‘CHUGGA CHUGGA Paralysis’ is surely imminent.

…And Here’s The Second 360 Tour Of ‘Frankenweenie’!

Walt Disney Pictures has two new 360 degree tours on tap for the set of Frankenweenie, Tim Burton’s latest animated feature in which a young Victor conducts a science experiment to bring his beloved dog Sparky back to life, only to face unintended, sometimes monstrous, consequences. Unfortunately, the coding won’t let us post both tours in the same article, so we’ve had to break it up in two. Here’s part two!

I’ve gone on record saying that I’m hopeful for this, even though Burton has been in a bit of a (creative, not financial) rut recently. Sure, it looks very much its composed of stock Burton aesthetics, but the stop motion technique renders them in a more striking manner than his recent live action work does. And the sets that I saw – reassembled at comic-con – were striking.

The voice cast includes four actors who worked with Burton on previous films: Winona Ryder (Beetlejuice, Edward Scissorhands), Catherine O’Hara (Beetlejuice, The Nightmare Before Christmas), Martin Short (Mars Attacks!) and Martin Landau (Ed Wood, Sleepy Hollow), while Charlie Tahan and Atticus Shaffer were later added.

Frankenweenie jumps into your lap on October 5th. Head inside for the second tour! READ MORE

In Season 3, premiering October 14, “Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and company will face a brand new threat – one that is very much human. While Rick and the gang are busy clearing out a prison in the hopes of transforming it into a protective fortress, not so far away is the town of Woodbury, Georgia, and its self-appointed leader, the Governor (David Morrissey).

Lamb Of God/Dethklok/Gojira Tour Officially Cancelled

I feel like I kinda jinxed things in yesterday’s article about Randy Blythe where I stated that there was still no word on whether or not the Lamb Of God/Dethklok/Gojira tour was pushing forward. I was still harboring a completely unrealistic hope that the tour would continue, even if it had to reschedule the first few dates. Alas, that is not going to happen as word has broken that the tour is now officially cancelled.

Per LoG’s PR: “The band regrets the decision but the uncertainty of Randy’s release makes it impossible to carry on with the tour. Upon Randy’s release, it is the band’s intention to rebook a tour in the fall and at this time the band fully intends to participate in the Mayhem Cruise in December.

They also add, “Lamb Of God wishes to thank Dethklok, Adult Swim and Gojira for their support and patience as well as all of the promoters who had dates on the tour. Last but certainly not least, the band thanks all of the fans who bought tickets for the tour and who have been supportive of Randy and the band over the last month that Randy has been held in Prague. Without the fans, there is no LAMB OF GOD.READ MORE
