Stone Sour Five Continent Tour Schedule For This Winter

Stone Sour have officially unveiled a five continent touring schedule as the first leg of dates for the support of their upcoming album House Of Gold And Bones Part 1. The tour begins in fall and extends well into next year. Africa and Antarctica have been left off the touring schedule. I’m sure GWAR is very disappointed right about now. Check out the tour dates below.

House Of Gold And Bones Part 1 will be released this October while Part 2 has an undetermined 2013 date. READ MORE

Lamb Of God/Dethklok/Gojira Tour Officially Cancelled

I feel like I kinda jinxed things in yesterday’s article about Randy Blythe where I stated that there was still no word on whether or not the Lamb Of God/Dethklok/Gojira tour was pushing forward. I was still harboring a completely unrealistic hope that the tour would continue, even if it had to reschedule the first few dates. Alas, that is not going to happen as word has broken that the tour is now officially cancelled.

Per LoG’s PR: “The band regrets the decision but the uncertainty of Randy’s release makes it impossible to carry on with the tour. Upon Randy’s release, it is the band’s intention to rebook a tour in the fall and at this time the band fully intends to participate in the Mayhem Cruise in December.

They also add, “Lamb Of God wishes to thank Dethklok, Adult Swim and Gojira for their support and patience as well as all of the promoters who had dates on the tour. Last but certainly not least, the band thanks all of the fans who bought tickets for the tour and who have been supportive of Randy and the band over the last month that Randy has been held in Prague. Without the fans, there is no LAMB OF GOD.READ MORE

Marilyn Manson And Rob Zombie Team Up For The “Twins Of Evil” Tour

In what might be the most horror-influenced tour of the year, shock-rockers Marilyn Manson and Rob Zombie are teaming up for a US and European tour. Korn singer Jonathan Davis will be providing opening support as his DJ alter ego J-Devil.

Rob Zombie says, “Finally! Why did the most obvious tour take so long to happen? Who knows? Who cares? It’s happening now. If good taste is the chief enemy of great art, then we should be able to fill the Louvre with this fucking tour. Be prepared for something wicked this way a-coming.”

Marilyn Manson states, “I have sympathy for the Whore of Babylon that gave birth to these twins of evil, and this abomination of a tour. There is no babysitter, and there is no repairing her womb. If Rob Zombie doesn’t fuck you up, than I surely will. Hide all drugs and firearms…I’m coming to town.”

Tickets will be available on both Manson’s website and Zombie’s website. All tour dates are below. READ MORE

[Rumor] System Of A Down And Deftones Teaming Up For Tour?

Let’s keep this chalked up as rumor until tomorrow but there is speculation that System of a Down might be teaming up with Deftones for a full tour. Speculation arose when System’s Shavo was seen in a picture holding a Deftones laminate while, in a completely different picture, Deftone’s Chino was captured holding a System laminate. There are hints that a full announcement will be coming tomorrow but I’m kinda antsy in my pantsy. I wanna know now! Check below for the picture and let me know if you’d go to the show! READ MORE

Opeth, Mastodon, Ghost Tour Confirmed: Here Are The Tour Dates

heritagehuntermatteaser Opeth, Mastodon, Ghost Tour Confirmed: Here Are The Tour Dates
Although a Mastodon/Opeth/Ghost tour was confirmed by Mastodon bassist/vocalist Troy Sanders, there weren’t any tour dates or official statements to back up the claim. Well, that has all changed now as the full touring schedule has been released! Dubbed the Heritage Hunter Tour, the trek will see the three bands touring from April 4th until May 12th. I’m personally more excited for this tour than any other one in recent memory. Looks like I’m heading to Grand Rapids!
Opeth vocalist/guitarist Mikael Akerfeldt: “We’re touring North America together with Mastodon soon. Nice! One of the very few metal bands of today that I genuinely like. Good people too!  Ghost are coming with us as well, and they are one of the hottest new bands to come out of Sweden in recent years, and I dig them too. I sound like an old fart, don’t I? Well, I am.
“Yet, am I right in thinking that this tour, this line up, is pretty decent? Would you all agree? Not complete s—, is it? Hope to see y’all out there! What are we playing? Not sure yet, but considering the company, maybe we’ll have to pull out the big guns from time to time. In order to keep up, I mean.”

GWAR Announce ‘Return Of The Maggot Tour’

gwarrotmtourmat GWAR Announce Return Of The Maggot Tour
GWAR has announced that they will be hitting the road again this spring on the Return Of The Maggot Tour! Support will come from Municipal Waste and Ghoul with Legacy of Disorder joining the tour in Boston. The band will be touring as a four-piece. Tour dates can be seen below.
Dave Brockie (a.k.a. Oderus Urungus) had this to say: ”All the years of doing GWAR could never have prepared us for what we have been through, and I want to thank the metal community and the extended GWAR family for all of your support. Finishing that last tour was the hardest thing we have ever had to do, and we still have about half of the country left to hit. We will continue as a four-piece, with the special tribute to Flattus at the end of the show, in order to give our fans a chance to say goodbye to our fallen Scumdog brother in true GWAR fashion-covered in blood and rocking the fuck out! After this tour is over we can start looking to the future and begin to put this tragedy behind us. But for now we are still in “Hail Flattus” mode!”

Lamb Of God Announces European Tour

Lamb of God are ready to take on the world and bring some Resolution (review) to Europe! The band has confirmed a full European tour as well as a stop in India and one in Israel. The trek begins in May and will continue through until July 1st. After that, one would assume they’ll be back in the States to tackle to summer festivals we have here. We’ll just have to wait and see if that’s the case! You can check out the full tour schedule below.

I haven’t been to Hangar 11 in Tel Aviv but I know Israeli crowds at rock concerts go ballistic. It’s actually an amazing sight because the energy level never subsides. If asked to clap along, Israelis will keep clapping until the very end of the song. Asked to chant “Hey!” and they’ll do it until they can’t speak anymore. End result? It’s a hell of a lot of fun!

Five Finger Death Punch Announce West Coast Tour

Hard rock band Five Finger Death Punch will be embarking on a US/Canadian west coast tour beginning in March. The 14-date trek begins in Las Vegas, NV and ends in Casper, WY. The band is touring in support of their latest release, American Capitalist (review). Support on these dates will come from Soulfly, Windowpane, and Persist.

Singer Ivan Moody shared, “The few times we’ve been to Canada it’s been absolutely phenomenal. The fact that we get to take a band like Soulfly with us on a tour like this says it all. This is going to be one hell of a great time, in no uncertain terms.”
Guitarist Zoltán Báthory added, “We only played a handful of dates in Canada, but they were all sold-out so we are really looking forward to a headlining tour up there.  What makes it even sweeter is taking one of our favorite bands Soulfly with us on this trek. As we are playing bigger and bigger venues, I think it became our responsibility to help expose some great metal bands to our more diverse audience.”

Andrew W.K. Announces 10th Anniversary Tour For I Get Wet
Ten years ago, Andrew W.K.‘s I Get Wet was released and suddenly he was everywhere. Seriously, I remember hearing him on the radio, hearing about him performing on late-night talk shows, being on movie soundtracks, etc, etc, etc… But I was kind of proud because the guy and I went to the same high school, albeit the fact that I missed actually going to school with him by two years or something like that. But no matter, it was still kind of awesome.
Now, Andrew W.K. has announced that he will be doing an anniversary tour, where he will be performing the entire I Get Wet album at each show! Check below for tour dates.
