New ‘Call Of Duty: Ghosts’ Trailer, DLC Coming To Xbox One First

Like past installments in this generation’s biggest game franchise, Call of Duty: Ghosts will be multi-platform, but during the Xbox One reveal it was confirmed that Microsoft’s console will be getting DLC first. That’s unsurprising, seeing as Activision and Microsoft have struck similar deals with previous Call of Duty games. If you like your explosions next-gen, you’re going to love the trailer I have waiting for you after the break.

It’s not quite as pretty as I would have expected. I think it’s safe to say Battlefield 4 is ahead of it visually, but when it comes to dog mo-cap technology, Ghosts is really second to none.

Full ‘Batman: Arkham Origins’ Trailer Is Here And It’s Marvelous

A few days ago we were given a tease of the trailer for the upcoming Warner Bros developed prequel, Batman: Arkham Origins, and now, the full trailer has emerged from the shadows of the Internet to punch you squarely in the face with five minutes of pure awesome.

I’ve already watched it twice, because I’m a geek and I like watching guys flip, spin, and beat the crap out of each other while tossing out the random gruff one-liner so their opponent knows their superhero suit is isn’t nearly as cool as what they have on. I could totally keep going, but I’m positive 99% of you have already skimmed past my ramblings so you can watch the trailer. Thanks for that.

The Dual Shock 4 Controller Gets ‘Diablo III’ed’

There’s no doubt that you can’t just take Diablo III and throw it on a console. It has to be carefully and gently taken over and reformed a bit. And one thing that really needs forming is the whole controller situation. Because you have a lot more possibilities with a keyboard, transferring all those key strokes to a controller takes some finesse. Since Diablo III is also coming to the Playstation 4, there is that magical new touch pad sitting so comfortably on the top of the new Dual Shock 4 controller that will also be used to make playing the game easier and more interesting. Head past the break to check out a developer diary and learn all about it. There are no console release dates yet for Diablo III.

New ‘Dark’ Gameplay Trailer Shows You Sneakin’ And Creepin’

On June 11th you’ll be able to get your hands on a rare item. That rare item is a vampire game. In this latest game play trailer you do what vampires do best. Sneak around and kill people. I’m a little weary that Dark could get boring however because all the game play I’ve seen is filled with creeping. Don’t get me wrong, vampires are all about stealth but we don’t want it to feel repetitive and get boring after the first hour. Check out the video past the break and don’t forget, June 11th, PC and Xbox 360 only.

We’ve got a new full length trailer for Season 8 of Showtime’s “Dexter” that quickly catches us up on the events of the previous seasons before launching in to some new footage. As disappointed as I’ve been in the show recently, I might as well check out this new stretch seeing as its the final one.

“Dexter” returns June 30 to Showtime (including Yvonne Strahovski reprising her role on the show) followed by the premiere of “Ray Donovan.”

Batman And Deathstroke Duel In New ‘Batman: Arkham Origins’ Teaser

If you woke up this morning with a craving to watch two guys beat the crap out of each other during a blizzard than boy oh boy, I do think I’m about to make your day. Warner Bros just unveiled a first look at Batman: Arkham Origins — a prequel to Rocksteady’s gritty Batman series developed by Warner Bros Montreal, the studio that brought us the Arkham City Armored Edition for Wii U. In it, Deathstroke and the Dark Knight engage in glorious fisticuffs.

Rocksteady won’t be handling the development of this game, possibly so they can stay focused on the next-gen Batman game they better be working on right now. This teaser is a bit on the short side, but that’s because it’s just a slice of the tasty Batman pie we can look forward to gorging ourselves on — the full trailer is coming May 20th.

This ‘Metro: Last Light’ Launch Trailer Has A Mutant Bear

Did you hear? Metro: Last Light is out right now. If you’re not in your fallout bunker yet, it’s too late. I’d say you have just about the perfect amount of time to watch this launch trailer before you’re vaporized like that scene in Terminator 2 when the bombs drop and faces start melting. The good news is, the time it takes for a face to melt varies from person to person, so you might have enough life left in you to read my review.

I’d go on, but the Bloody Disgusting fallout shelter feels a little warm — I think TJ messed with the thermometer again — and I refuse to listen to the screams of my fellow man as each and every one of you gets turned into smoldering, crispy husks in a room that isn’t at exactly 70 degrees.

Theatrical Trailer For ‘Berberian Sound Studio’ Lulls You In

IFC Films will release Peter Strickland’s Berberian Sound Studio, starring Toby Jones and Tonia Sotiropoulou, on June 14th on various VOD Platforms. Mr. Disgusting hated this movie more than he normally hates things. But I’m still waiting to check it out, I like slow burn stuff like this so maybe I’ll disagree?

Acquired out of the fests by IFC Films, the pic is “Set in 1976: Gilderoy is hired to orchestrate the sound mix for the latest film by Italian horror maestro, Santini. As time and realities shift, Gilderoy is lost in a spiral of sonic and personal mayhem, and has to confront his own demons in order to stay afloat.

In it, up to five players will have the option of teaming up as a group to better their odds of survival while another player hunts them down. See it in action after the jump.

Gorge Yourself On Nine Amazing Minutes Of Footage From The ‘Eternal Darkness’ Sequel

Released in 2002, Eternal Darkness is a survival horror game that developed a strong cult following, yet despite critical acclaim, it never saw the sequel it deserved. That is, until now. (cue Inception trailer sound)

Shadow of the Eternals is an episodic horror game that is being referred to as a “spiritual successor” by developer Precursor Games, but one look at the art style, gameplay, story and characters, and it looks like everything fans have been asking for from a “true sequel” for years. Silicon Knights’ and Precursor founder Denis Dyack recently sat down with IGN to debut a nine minute gameplay demo — currently a work in progress — which you can watch after the break.

The game will be coming out in the 4th quarter of this year, on the PC, Playstation 3, Xbox 360, AND the next gen consoles. Exciting! Trailer For Edgar Wright’s ‘The World’s End’ Brings On The Booze (And Aliens)

The teaser trailer just hit for The World’s End, Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz director Edgar Wright’s new movie that stars Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, Rosamund Pike, Martin Freeman, Paddy Considine and Eddie Marsan. While this definitely feels more like a teaser than a full trailer – it still introduces a host of crazy sh*t like humanoid blue-eyed aliens along with some giant insect looking guys. Getting a strong Stephen King meets John Carpenter vibe from this one. I also dig that the fence gag is back! This film will complete Wright and Pegg’s Blood and Ice Cream Trilogy.

In theaters August 23 2013, “20 years after attempting an epic pub crawl, five childhood friends reunite when one of them becomes hell bent on trying the drinking marathon again. They are convinced to stage an encore by mate Gary King, a 40-year old man trapped at the cigarette end of his teens, who drags his reluctant pals to their home town and once again attempts to reach the fabled pub, The World’s End. As they attempt to reconcile the past and present, they realize the real struggle is for the future, not just theirs but humankind’s. Reaching The World’s End is the least of their worries.READ MORE

New Teaser Unmasks ‘Call Of Duty: Ghosts’

Activision has been quietly teasing the next entry in their annual Call of Duty franchise, and now we finally know a little more about it. The game is Call of Duty: Ghosts, and it’s back in the hands of Modern Warfare series developer Infinity Ward. The game will follow soldiers who shoot bad people, only this time, the good guys are masked.

Lay down your pitchforks Call of Duty fans, I’m only joking. This one actually sounds promising, since they’re finally using a new engine that will bring the experience to current and next-gen consoles. “We’re building a new sub-brand, a new engine, and a lot of new ideas and experiences for our players.” said Mark Rubin, the studio’s executive producer. Check out the live-action teaser after the break.

‘Watch Dogs’ Gets A New Trailer, Launching In November

Watch Dogs was easily the most exciting announcement to come out of E3 last year, but it also felt so far away. Today that changes, as Ubisoft has revealed a launch date alongside a brand new trailer. What attracted me to this game — outside of the fact that everything else that came out of the event was decidedly “been there, done that” — was how intriguing its concept was.

It’s an open world game set in the modern day, so the setting isn’t exactly unique, but the ability to hack into and control the environment around you is a nice addition. It also looks gorgeous, though that isn’t all that surprising seeing as it’s also coming to next-gen consoles.

As a fan of the hugely underappreciated post-apocalyptic gem that was 2033, I’m very much looking forward to seeing what 4A Games does with the sequel. It looks like it will bring more of what was so great about the original — a creepy atmosphere, beautiful environments, an arsenal brimming with cool guns, monsters, mutants, ghosts (please bring back the shadow people, those were terrifying), and so much more.

This First Developer Diary For ‘Resident Evil: Revelations’ Shows Us Deep Horror Roots

A big issue a lot of gamers have with the most recent Resident Evil games is that Capcom is pulling further and further out of the horror genre. Resident Evil: Revelations is the exception. When creating the game developers wanted to recreate some of the feelings and fears players got from earlier games in the series. But one has to wonder if such a thing could ever be the same again. Sure you can add more scares and less action, but you can’t take away the crystal clear graphics and updated game play. Or could you? Head past the break to see the 1st developer diary “Heritage and Horror” for Resident Evil: Revelations. May 21st on the PC, Playstation 3, WiiU, and Xbox 360.
