Staring White Eyes in First Devil Inside TV Spot

Paramount Insurge has released the first TV Spot from Brent Bell’s The Devil Inside, their exorcism flick opening in theaters January 6, 2012. The spot, now airing across the Nation, features a lick of new eerie footage and a whole lotta white eyes.

“In 1989, emergency responders received a 9-1-1 call from Maria Rossi (Suzan Crowley) confessing that she had brutally killed three people. 20 years later, her daughter Isabella (Fernanda Andrade) seeks to understand the truth about what happened that night. She travels to the Centrino Hospital for the Criminally Insane in Italy where her mother has been locked away to determine if her mother is mentally ill or demonically possessed. When she recruits two young exorcists (Simon Quarterman and Evan Helmuth) to cure her mom using unconventional methods combining both science and religion, they come face-to-face with pure evil in the form of four powerful demons possessing Maria. Summit Entertainment is mimicking the District 9 viral campaign with a series of fun “Warning Signs” from The Darkest Hour created to evoke the new realities the characters face in a post-invasion world, populated by an invisible enemy bent on exterminating all life. The unique alien invaders pose a particularly lethal challenge as they are made up of invisible wave energy with their presence unveiled only via nearby activated electrical systems.

Directed by Chris Gorak, “ ‘Darkest Hour’ is the story of five young people who find themselves stranded in Moscow, fighting to survive in the wake of a devastating alien attack.” The 3D thriller is said to highlight the classic beauty of Moscow alongside mind-blowing special effects.

FX’s “American Horror Story” has been building and building and building into what we’re all hoping is a monstrous season finale. Each episode I expect everything to fall apart, and yet, this Beetlejuice-esque horror tale finds a way to take things even further. Seriously, how good can it get? Apparently, really, really, realllllly good.

Inside you’ll find a preview of next Wednesday’s episode 01.09 “Spooky Little Girl” that promises that “one of history’s most famous murder victims pays the house a visit, while Constance (Jessica Lange) discovers more of Tate’s (Evan Peters) bad behavior.”

Bad behavior is an understatement, at least according to the following clip that basically states Tate could be responsible for bringing the Antichrist into the world. WOWSA. READ MORE

The cablers must be happy with the online popularity as they’ve begun unloaded tons of images and clips from upcoming episodes.

This afternoon FX updated their YouTube page with a 2-minute sneak peak at this Wednesday’s episode of “American Horror Story” that’ll air 10PM ET/PT only on FX. I’m not going to preface the clip with anything as I personally want to be surprised, but it was teased last week that episode 01.08 will reveal “the man in the rubber suit” (the guy who raped Vivien Harmon (Connie Britton) and got her all pregged up!) The elephant in the room will soon cease to exist…

A&E released a third and fourth TV Spot from the Mick Garris-directed adaptation of Stephen King’s “Bag of Bones“. The two-part mini-series starring Pierce Brosnan, Melissa George, Annabeth Gish, Anika Noni Jones, Matt Frewer and Jason Priestly airs on Sunday, December 11 and Monday, December 12. You’ll also find a trio of new imagery. I’m still waiting to see something insane.

Now FX has issued three new behind the scenes looks at the series.

Connie Britton, Dylan McDermott, Jessica Lange, Taissa Farmiga, Evan Peters and Denis O’Hare star in “American Horror Story” along with recurring guests Frances Conroy, Alexandra Breckenridge and Jamie Brewer. The show follows a family of three who move from Boston to Los Angeles as a means of reconciling their past anguish. They move to a restored mansion, unaware that the home is haunted.

More Footage From 1988 in Fresh Paranormal Activity 3 Teaser

With only a few weeks to go, Paramount Pictures has released a new teaser trailer for Paranormal Activity 3 featuring more footage from 1988 of young Katie and Kristi in the middle of a supernatural extravaganza. A lot of it didn’t make the final film, which is actually pretty cool.

Franchise creator and producer Oren Peli returns with Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman directing from a screenplay by Christopher B. Landon (Disturbia). The sequel tells the story of the Rey family back in 1988 before all of the supernatural happening from 2009 and 2010. It arrives in theaters October 21.

Hot on the heels of a successful screening at Fantastic Fest last month the Paranormal Activity 3 marketing machine is hitting overdrive in anticipation of the film’s upcoming release.

This newest TV Spot packs a lot of new footage into its 30 seconds. Mr. Disgusting has gone on record saying that the trailers for the 3rd one alone seem more eventful than the entirety of the 2nd movie, and on first glance I tend to agree. Even if none of this gets us closer to understanding Nev’s tramp stamp in Catfish, it does help us gain a greater insight into the effed up technicolor childhood that leads to Katie Featherston’s poltergeist troubles later in life.

Franchise creator and producer Oren Peli returns with Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman directing from a screenplay by Disturbia scribe Christopher B. Landon. Paranormal Activity 3 lands in theaters October 21st.

The low budget indie that started it all becomes a trilogy on October 21 when Paramount Pictures’ Paranormal Activity 3 arrives in theaters everywhere.

The studio has unleashed yet another VHS viral video that Yahoo! has premiered below. As teased in the new trailer, there were a lot of paranormal happenings in 1988.

Franchise creator and producer Oren Peli returns with Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman directing from a screenplay by Christopher B. Landon (Disturbia). Details are slim to none, as usual. But you can visit the film’s official website for more supernatural goodies soon.

Universal Pictures begun their television campaign for The Thing, the Matthijs van Heijningen Jr.-directed prequel to John Carpenter’s remake arriving in theaters October 14. Inside you’ll find the first TV Spot from the creature feature starring both Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Joel Edgerton.

“Paleontologist Kate Lloyd (Winstead) has traveled to the desolate region for the expedition of her lifetime. Chiller has released the the first TV Spot for Remains, the Colin Theys-directed adaptation of a Steve Niles graphic novel that stars Grant Bowler, Lance Reddick, Miko Hughes and Tawny Cypress. While the trailer was already quite impressive, this spot is more of the same carrying a small variety of new shots.

I haven’t been this excited for a new show since AMC premiered “The Walking Dead” last fall, and frankly, I’m way more intrigued by the imagery being throw around by FX for “American Horror Story,” which comes from the brains behind “Glee”.

Sure, we’ve seen rubber latex fetishes and a baby pressing on a mother’s belly from inside the womb, but how much do we really know. That’s the best part about “American Horror Story”: how well they’ve shrouded the new series, premiering October 5, in secrecy.

And while they keep us in the dark, more and more viral fun has begun to spring up, like the following “House Calls” campaign that sounds more terrifying than fun (which IS fun in my book).

With the premiere not until October 5, FX has kicked the marketing campaign into high gear for their ultra-bizarre and creepy looking “American Horror Story” with a second teaser clip, this time featuring a baby pushing out from his mother’s womb. Awesome stuff.

The show co-created by former “Nip/Tuck” executive producers and current “Glee” co-creators/executive producers Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk “revolves around The Harmons, a family of three who move from Boston to Los Angeles as a means to reconcile past anguish.”

The all star cast features Dylan McDermott (“The Practice”) as “Ben Harmon,” a psychiatrist; Connie Britton (“Friday Night Lights”) as “Vivien Harmon,” Ben’s wife; Taissa Farmiga as “Violet,” the Harmons’ teenage daughter; Jessica Lange (Tootsie, Blue Sky, Grey Gardens) in her first-ever regular series TV role as “Constance,” the Harmons’ neighbor; Evan Peters (“One Tree Hill”) plays “Tate Langdon,” one of Ben’s patients; and Denis O’Hare (“The Good Wife”) as “Larry Harvey.”

Guest stars for the series include Frances Conroy (“Six Feet Under”) as the Harmons’ housekeeper; Alexandra Breckenridge (Dirt) as the Harmons’ housekeeper; and Jamie Brewer as Constance’s daughter.

Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk’s spooky project centers on Ben Harmon (Dylan McDermott), a handsome therapist who, along with his wife (Connie Britton) and their kids, move from Boston to a haunted San Francisco home in an attempt to rebuild the family after a miscarriage and affair.

I applaude Dimension Films for taking the Cloverfield and Paranormal Activity path and keeping all released content to a minimum. Personally, the less I know about a film going into the theater, the better. With zero images released thus far, Bloody Disgusting scored an exclusive TV spot clip from Apollo 18 that’s pretty similar to the previous released few. The only info released: the mission to the moon is a controlled experiment, the astronauts weren’t given the truth, they find a dead body from a previous mission, and then one of the dudes gets infected. What comes next is anybody’s guess.

Apple has be given the first “clip” from Apollo 18 that plays more like a TV Spot than an actual clip. In fact, most of the footage is old, although I can pick out some juicy bits such as a moment where Houston calls off the mission.
