In the original a scientific expedition traveling up the Amazon River encounter a dangerous humanoid amphibious fish creature.
Emily the Strange
Emily the Strange is a rail-thin 13-year-old whose clothes are as black as her hair and as dark as her adventures. Reger hatched this symbol of anti-cool in 1993 through promotional stickers, skateboards and T-shirts that he distributed from his garage.
The story line is being kept under wraps, although the aim is to tell the origin of the punk and gothic figure and how she comes to gain her abilities that fuse technology and imagination. The story will also focus on her relationship with four cats: troublemaker Sabbath, schemer Nee-Chee, imaginative Miles and leader Mystery.
Wanted
With its dark tone, “Wanted” is in a similar mold as “Night Watch.” Protag is a nebbishy white-collar worker who discovers his father is the world’s most evil supervillain. After his dad is murdered, the son is recruited into a covert org and trained to take up his father’s legacy.
RIPD
The 1999 comic centers on the Rest in Peace Department, the dedicated yet dead police officers who patrol the dead beat, made up of the deceased who refuse to go quietly. The story focuses on a cop who joins the department after being murdered and his search for the man who set him up as he does his duty fighting fiendish creatures. Alfred Hitchcock Presents
The drama about the making of Hitchcock’s Psycho, and particularly the hurdles and roadblocks that the great British director went through in order to bring it come to fruition. Hitchcock was discouraged left and right from making it. The script was seen as way too dark and perverse (especially with the lead female star getting killed off after 45 minutes), and no one wanted to see a movie based more or less on the macabre exploits of serial killer Ed Gein.
