Valiant proudly announced today that “Mind MGMT” scribe, Matt Kindt, will be launching “Unity”, a new ongoing comic series this november. Kindt will be accompanied by Doug Braithwaite, who will be doing art for the series. The series follows a deadly team of villains assembled by Toyo Harada who is hell-bent on a mission to bring down X-O Manowar. Valiant is launching a new series from Greg Pak and Trevor Hairsine in September. “Eternal Warrior” follows Gilad Anni-Padda who traversed across time to battle in some of the darkest wars in history. Valiant announced their plans to bring Halloween to their universe this fall with the release of their first ever Halloween special. “Shadowman” #11, written by Jim Zub with art from Miguel Sepulveda, is set on All Hallow’s Eve and it sees the titular hero fending for himself on the most horrific night of the year. In Shadowman #0, Master Darque , the classic Valiant villain, finally gets a chance to steal the spotlight with an origin tale. Master Darque is one of the most infamous villains in the Valiant universe, and when dealing with a character of this magnitude it’s very easy for things to go awry, but writer Justin Jordan simply knocked this one out of the park. The initial story arc from Valiant’s re-launch of Shadowman breathed new life into this classic ’90s character, and writer Justin Jordan and artist Patrick Zircher did a great job of establishing a new mythos that they could build the character on. They also developed a stellar supporting cast for Jack Boniface to play off of, which offered readers another reason to care about what happens inside the pages of this book. USA Today got the first scoop on Valiant’s new star-bound story arc, Planet Death, launching on March 20th in the pages of X-O Manowar #11.
