No Doubt, Victoria Justice Is "Eye Candy"

Victoria Justice, pictured, has been cast in the pilot for MTV’s “Eye Candy” reports Variety.

“The Nickelodeon alum will play Lindy, a beautiful but reclusive hacker whose blog exposes everything from terrorist plots to suspected killers. Convinced by her roommate to begin online dating, Lindy is targeted by a dangerous cyberstalker and believes one of her suitors to be the culprit. When things take a deadly turn, she teams up with the city’s cyber-crime unit to catch the killer.”

Casting marks Justice’s first since wrapping “Victorious” on Nick and pursuing her music career.

“Eye Candy,” written by Emmy Grinwis, is based on a novel by the same name by R.L. Stine. Twilight helmer Catherine Hardwicke is on board to direct and exec produce the drama. READ MORE

Is this horror? No. But it does take place on the most important holiday we know: Halloween.

Paramount Pictures has released the first poster and stills from Fun Size, a new comedy described as a cross between Superbad and Adventures in Babysitting on Halloween night.

“In the film, Wren and her little brother Albert secretly head off to a party. The night turns to sh*t when Albert goes missing and it becomes a race to find him before ol’ mom finds out.”

In theaters October 26, the comedy is packed with stars: Victoria Justice, Thomas Mann, Jane Levy, Thomas Middleditch, Thomas McDonell, Osric Chau, Jackson Nicoll, Johnny Knoxville, Ana Gasteyer, Josh Pence, Holmes Osborne, James Pumphrey, Willam Belli, Peter Navy Tuiasosopo and Chelsea Handler. Jane Levy is in talks for a key role in the Paramount teen comedy Fun Size, which will mark the feature directing debut of TV showrunner Josh Schwartz, writes THR.

Although no deal is in place yet, Levy is being eyed to play best friend to the movie’s lead character Victoria Justice.

Scripted by The Colbert Report’s Max Werner, “the Halloween-set tale follows a sarcastic teen, played by Justice, who take her little brother-trick-or-treating only to lose him along the way.”

Levy has most recently appeared on Showtime’s “Shameless,” where she played Mandy Milkovich.

I know it’s barely genre, but a movie about a bunch of kids trick or treating always wins my love and affection.

Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters star Thomas Mann is in final negotiations to topline opposite Victoria Justice in Josh Schwartz’s comedy Fun Size, reports Variety.

Mann will play Roosevelt, the star of his school’s debate team who is in love with Justice’s character, Wren. The son of two gay women, he’s terrified of breaking the rules, but decides to throw caution to the wind and help Wren out when she needs him to help find her younger brother on Halloween.
