“True Blood” Shows How “Waiting Sucks” With Sam And Luna

TrueBloodFeature40912 True Blood Shows How Waiting Sucks With Sam And Luna

“True Blood” premiered its latest “Waiting Sucks” promo over at HBO last night and, well, I don’t think it’s all that intriguing. But you guys can make up your own minds! I actually plan on giving the show another chance this year, hopefully Alan Ball will give it a good kick in the ass on his way out the door.

Mixing romance, suspense, mystery, and humor, the Emmy-nominated show takes place at a time when vampires have come out of the coffin and follows the on-and-off romance between waitress and part-faerie Sookie Stackhouse (Paquin), who can hear people’s thoughts, and 173-year-old vampire Bill Compton (Moyer).

“True Blood” is set to return on Sunday, June 10 at 9/8c. The show’s fifth season will contain 12 episodes and will be the last season of the program overseen by show runner Alan Ball.

HBO knows how die-hard fans of “True Blood” are. They acknowledge that 9 months is a long time to go without your fix of vampires and sex (or wolves and sex, or faeries and sex). To that end, there’s a new behind the scenes clip to help tide you over. It’s appropriately titled “Waiting Sucks”.
