Wayne Static Cancels Remaining Static-X Tour Dates: Heads Home For Medical Procedures

Static-X has cancelled all remaining tour dates on the Evil Disco tour. The band performed on Oct. 6th at The Machine Shop in Flint, MI but needs to cancel the remaining dates due to singer/guitarist Wayne Static’s need for medical procedures “…to remedy problems that have been hampering his performance.” Emmure and Ill Nino will be continuing the tour as scheduled.

Static states, “I’m so sorry to all my fans but I cant give you the 1000% you deserve from Static-X every night right now. Evil disco will continue in 2013. Just wait until you see whats next!!!

Static-X Announce 2nd Leg Of Noise Revolution Tour 2012

Industrial metal band Static-X has announced the 2nd leg of their Noise Revolution Tour 2012, which will featured direct support from Prong as well as Davey Suicide and 9 Electric. Tour dates can be found below.

Wayne Static comments, “I’m very excited to have Prong join the tour. Over the years Prong has had a huge influence on many musicians, including myself, and I am honored to share the stage with them.”

Prong’s Tommy Victor states, “STATIC X has been carrying the torch for no-nonsense, hard hitting music for many years and it’s an honor to tour with them. They’ve put out great records again and again and I’ve witnessed their live show so many times and never been disappointed. Static-X Has Returned: Announce Summer Tour Dates

Static-X has risen from the beyond and will be hitting the road this summer! The first leg of tour dates can be seen below. Tour support will come from Davey Suicide and 9 Electric. The tour will kick off at the Ink Life Tattoo Convention in El Paso, Texas. More dates will be announced over the next weeks.

Original bassist Tony Campos will not be joining the tour and a replacement has not yet been named. Campos comments, “I’m proud of my years with Static X, and want to see the name of the band stay alive and well. I hope that all of our fans will continue to support both Wayne and I in our individual endeavors.

Wayne Static comments, “I had a great time over the past few years doing my Pighammer album and solo tours, but it’s time to get Static-X back on the road. I can’t wait to tear it up with some old school Evil Disco!READ MORE

Wayne Static Releases Teaser For ‘Pighammer’

I don’t know about you guys but I’m a huge Static-X fan. They’ve been pretty damn consistent in sound and releases and their music is always a lot of fun. Plus, if you’re a horror fan in the slightest, it’s pretty much guaranteed that you’ve heard their music in at least two or three films. I mean, let’s look at a few of the bigs ones: Bride of Chucky, Scream 3, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (remake), Saw III, and more. If you haven’t seen these movies, then what are you doing on this site? Shame on you!

Coming back to the story, Static-X frontman Wayne Static is releasing his first solo album, Pighammer, on October 4th. There is a teaser video after the jump that is definitely tailored to horror fans, so make sure to check it out!
