Recently, I got the opportunity to go to the Rockstar Mayhem Festival at the DTE Energy Theater (still known to me as Pine Knob) in Clarkston, Michigan. With headliner’s such as Korn, Lamb of God, Rob Zombie, Five Finger Death Punch, as well as supporting acts like Hatebreed, Chimaira, In This Moment, Norma Jean, and others, how could I not go? While there, I snagged several interviews which I will be posting daily throughout the week. Who were the interviews with? I guess you’ll have to find out! In the meantime, we’ve got a video of several artists with a message for YOU, the readers, as well as some pictures of a In This Moment, Chimaira, and Rob Zombie. Joey Jordison is currently on tour as the drummer for Rob Zombie on the Rockstar Energy Mayhem Festival. Wednesday 13 is also on the road with them and they are both doing signings for fans at the Roadrunner Records music tent each day. If you go to the show, make sure to stop in and meet the guys!
, the recently resurrected glam/punk/rock project of Slipknot drummer Joey Jordison and his cohort Wednesday 13, will play two shows in California later this month, casting a fiendish shadow over the warm and sunny Golden State with their brand of irreverent, middle-finger-in-the-air rock ‘n’ roll. The band’s long awaited second album, Women and Children Last, is slated for release through Roadrunner this August.
The band will play the Glass House in Pomona on June 15 and will follow up that show with an appearance at the Key Club in Los Angeles on June 17.
As soon as fans caught wind of the shows, the venues were bombarded with phone calls demanding more information. The calls came from fans across the globe, from locations as vast and varied as Russia, the UK, and well, Texas. It’s clear that interest in the Murderdolls is burning at a fevered pitch, since they merely played 15 shows on US soil in support of their debut, Beyond the Valley of the Murderdolls, way back in 2002.
Joey Jordison, drummer of Slipknot, is getting back on the guitar this summer with the release of a new Murderdolls album, entitled ‘Women And Children Last’. The last time the Murderdolls were heard of or seen was way back in 2004. Joey is commented saying, “We’ve waited eight years to make sure, but this is the perfect time to bring Murderdolls back to the world. We’ve got nothing to lose and nothing to prove. So raise your fist along with us motherfuckers and sorry if you get a bloody nose along the way. It’s about to get ugly! Women and Children Last!!!”
