[OMFG] William Shatners Bohemian Rhapsody Video Is Amazing
In what might almost be one of the greatest music videos released this year (I still think Mastodon has this award), William Shatner has released an official video for his cover of Queen‘s ubiquitous song Bohemian Rhapsody. To say that the video is ridiculous doesn’t even begin to cover it but it makes me realize that Shatner fully understands just how silly this whole undertaking seems. Okay William Shatner, I gave you the benefit of the doubt with Iron Man, but now watching you do vocals, this has got to be some cosmic joke, right? Not only are you singing out of tune but whoever did your video can’t even spell “album” right? What the hell is an “ablum”?

William Shatner, to some, is a man who can do no wrong. From Star Trek to Priceline to Airplane II to Twilight Zone, Shatner has become less of an actor and more of a cultural icon. Now, the icon wants to enter the music scene by putting out a 2-disc album called Seeking Major Tom consisting of covers and one original. After the jump, you can hear Captain Kirk do his rendition of Black Sabbath‘s classic track Iron Man, which features Zakk Wylde (Black Label Society, Ozzy Osbourne) on guitars. Kia is a succubus, luring to their final perdition men who already have sinful habits and libertine inclinations. She tires of this, it’s too easy, and these souls are going to Hell anyway. She wants to match wits and charm with someone who is good. So, against the advice of her sister Amael, Kia seeks out Marc, a man who has already faced death with courage. After a night together, Kia finds that not only is Marc’s goodness still intact, but she has been ravaged by love. In anger, she and Amael conjure an incubus to deal with Marc.
