An action-packed mutant romp, “Wolverine” #1 is an entertaining read that readers should not miss out on. At war with himself, his friends, and enemies, old Wolvey continues to be compelling as ever. There is no way you can say no to a fresh issue of “Wolverine”, bub. READ MORE
Marvel is releasing another Wolverine origin tale from the stellar creative team of Kieron Gillen and Adam Kubert this November. “Origin II” takes place just after the events of “Origin” and it sees James Howlett (Logan) as he lives among the wild wolves. The series takes a look at the beastly side of Wolverine, but balances it with his struggle to find humanity in a world before mutants were more prevalent. Take a look at Kubert’s artwork below for issue #1. READ MORE
The folks over at HalloweenCostumes.com have put together a complete visual history of Wolverine’s costume, spanning all the way back to his first appearance. There have been many versions of the Wolverine suit over the years. My favorite is that classic 1992 suit because it reminds me of my Saturday mornings watching that badass X-Men cartoon, but the “X-Force” version is a close second. READ MORE

One element of X-Men Origins: Wolverine that pissed me off to no end was the simple fact that Wolverine never, ever, ever had blood on his hands or claws after viciously stabbing an enemy. His claws remained pristine and shiny throughout the entire film. Along with his healing factor, he also garnered the cleaning power of Mr. Clean. The latest still from The Wolverine shows Hugh Jackman with claws out and they’ve got some blood on them. READ MORE

The first official image for The Wolverine, the quasi-sequel to X-Men Origins: Wolverine, was released today showing a jacked Hugh Jackman, claws and all. Why is he shirtless? I’m not sure, but it looks badass. Hopefully, there will be a bit more blood this time around.
The Wolverine is directed by James Mangold, and is expected to hit theatres on July 13th, 2013 from Marvel Entertainment. Check the full teaser below. READ MORE
The treatment of Deadpool in X-Men Origins: Wolverine can’t be described as anything but shameful (taking away the mouth of The Merc with a Mouth). But, a video was just released by the ADI team, who did the makeup for Ryan Reynolds in the film. The video shows a particularly creepy animatronic Deadpool head created for the surgery scene of the film. Check it. READ MORE

Whether or not you read DAKEN: DARK WOLVERINE or not, you’ve gotta feel for Rob William; this is his second book that’s been axed this week (Ghost Rider was first). This begs the questions of which of your favourite low-selling series will make the cut? Thus far, Marvel cancelations include PunisherMAX and Black Panther: The Most Dangerous Man Alive, Ghost Rider, X-23, Alpha Flight, Victor Von Doom, Destroyers, Iron Man 2.0 and All-Winners Squad. Thats quite the heavy load of nine books! Check some more Marvel speculation after the jump. Read on for the skinny…
Wolverine has always always been angry, bitter, and seeking revenge on someone. In this story we’ve literally seen Wolvy dragged through hell, and now Marvel promises to deliver a secret that shock readers to the core. Though the preview may not be so bloody (really, there’s no blood at all), I have a feeling it’s not all going to be fun and games as ‘Wolverine’s Revenge’ concludes at the end of August. If I were any kind of expert on that whole “worldwide vampire epidemic” I would say that things are not going so well for the “X-MEN” in Victor Gischler’s “CURSE OF THE MUTANTS” storyline. The series drops its 4th monumental issue on fans October 13th, but beyond the break you can get yourself a taste in the form of a 5 page (UNLETTERED) preview. Read on for the skinny!
Let’s say that in a completely hypothetical situation, you had an unkillable, hairy, slightly anger prone mutant with retractable claws fighting tooth and adamantium nail with an undead half human half robotic assassin who was trying to kill the little hairy guy’s insane (and greasy) son. In that situation do you think it would really be necessary to call the authorities?…Okay…Yea…I can see that now. Read on for the 5 page preview.
With Marvel’s new push toward the macabre slowly building up to a shocking revelation for everyone in the Uni, the X-Men have decided to take the fight straight to the source. However, it might not even be the vamps themselves that pose the biggest surprise as “BLADE” is set to join in on the action surrounding the “CURSE OF THE MUTANTS”. Inside you can get a full 6 page taste of the action before the second issue goes on sale this coming Wednesday! Read on for the skinny!
As someone who has studied crypto zoology, there are certain mythological creatures that have always carried special interest to me. Monsters like the soul sucking ‘shrtiga, the seductive ‘lady in white’, and the flesh eating ‘wendigo’. There has been a lot said and done over the recent years with the monster, and at one point it looked like Hollywood had developed some odd love affair with the carnivorous, frozen beast. Well now Marvel Comics is taking a shot at the monster by pitting their only hero savage enough to take the job: Wolverine. Read on for the bloody preview before the title hits store shelves this Wednesday.
