One day, for no apparent reason, a cop kills 11 children. The same day, horror novelist Thomas Roy tries to commit suicide after cutting his fingers. At first glance, nothing seems to link the two events – until Dr. Paul Lacasse, a disillusioned psychiatrist, takes over the case. Prompted by his colleague Jeanne, a fan of Thomas Roy, Dr. Lacasse investigates the writer’s past. Hounded by a gossip columnist, Dr. Lacasse uncovers a series of troubling facts that bolster his convictions about the case. As he tries to reassemble the pieces of the puzzle in order to better treat the famous writer, Dr. Lacasse is dragged further and further into a series of events, with terrifying consequences.
The boys at Twitch have premiered the trailer for Quentin Dupieux’s Wrong Cops, which premieres as three “Chapters” at this weekend’s Sundance Film Festival.
“Imagine a Los Angeles where crime is so low that a bored cop (Mark Burnham) sells drugs and harasses a teenager (Marilyn Manson) to pass the time. Shot in stand-alone chapters as it is being financed, screened, and released, Wrong Cops is gonzo filmmaking with a unique online strategy. Watch the first 45 minutes of craziness, and then dive into conversation with the cast and creative team.”
Wrong Cops is written and directed by Quentin Dupieux (Rubber) and produced by Gregory Bernard. The first 45 minutes of the project (Chapter 1-3) will be showcased at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival! The other 50 minutes will be added later for its full length run. READ MORE

The Internet is a wondrous and magical thing, ain’t it? Case and point: Quentin Dupieux, director of Rubber and Wrong, premiered the first chapter of his upcoming film Wrong Cops at the Cannes Film Festival today. The premiere was at 4pm EST and the video was put online at the same time, giving the world a chance to see what the fuss was about. The 14-minute clip stars shock rocker Marilyn Manson, Mark Burnham (“Buffy The Vampire Slayer”), and Grace Zabriskie (“Twin Peaks”). If you’re quick, you can also see a cameo from Jon LaJoie (“The League”).
“Duke, a crooked and music-mad cop, patrols in Los Angeles’ streets, music blasting and meets a young techno lover, David Dolores Frank. Appalled by the musical tastes of the young adolescent, Duke decides to give him a good music lesson.”
The full-length film will presumably be released once all the chapters are released. “It is a filthy 90-minute comedy about some disturbed cops. It is not a sequel to ‘Wrong’. Quentin Dupieux is just lazy with titles,” jokes the official website.
Marilyn Manson also just released a new album entitled Born Villain. You can check out our review here.
