Here’s a Motion Poster That Proves ‘I, Frankentein’ Is Coming

I was starting to think Lionsgate’s I, Frankenstein wasn’t a real film.

With no images released yet, the studio has unveiled a teaser poster for the comic adaptation that stars Aaron Eckhart, Bill Nighy, Socratis Otto, Yvonne Strahovski and Miranda Otto. It looks like Underworld, which is ironic being that it comes from writer Kevin Grevioux.

In theaters January 24, 2014 from director Stuart Beattie, “I, Frankenstein is a modern-day epic: Frankenstein’s creature, Adam, has survived to present day due to a genetic quirk in his creation. [TV] Julian Sands To Probably Be Bad Guy Who Dies In Season 8 Of “Dexter”

Season 8 of Showtime’s “Dexter” (aka The Final Season) has just cast Julian Sands (The Killing Fields, Warlock) as “Miles Foster, a wealthy international businessman“, according to TVLine. Let’s face it, he’ll be playing a bad guy and Dexter will kill him. Not a spoiler, just a guess based on the character description and predictability of the show.

UNLESS, all bets are off. It is the Final Season after all, so maybe they break the mold. Maybe he’s in town to offer Dexter some sort of inheritance.

“Dexter” returns June 30 to Showtime (including Yvonne Strahovski reprising her role on the show) followed by the premiere of “Ray Donovan.”

[TV] “Dexter” Officially Ending At Season 8! Extended Clip!

We have a new clip from Season 8 of Showtime’s “Dexter,” that confirms two things. 1. This is indeed the final season, as teased by the opening graphic. 2. Deb and Dex aren’t exactly getting along following the death of LaGuerta in the final moments of Season 7.

As for the show ending, PHEW! Maybe now they can go into overdrive and make a really compelling ending, they were all out of “Act 2″ stuff as far as I’m concerned. Here’s hoping they go out with a bang!

[TV] Yvonne Strahovski Returning To “Dexter” For Season 8

The 8th Season of “Dexter” will premiere on Sunday, June 30th, and while I await word – final confirmation -double final confirmation that this upcoming season will be its’ last, we do have some news that’s sure to please fans of Yvonne Strahovski. That’s right, she’s reprising her role as serial killer Hannah in the show.

Per EW, “The actress is set to reprise her role in a multi-episode arc this summer as Hannah McKay, the gorgeous killer florist. Last season, the Hannah became Dexter’s twisted love interest and a major thorn in his side. When we last saw her in the seventh season finale, Hannah had escaped from prison, and Dex was seemingly lucky to get away from her.

I think Strahovski is great, but she’s not enough to bring me back. READ MORE

‘I, Frankenstein’ Bumped To Next Year

Lionsgate’s 3D post-conversion of Stuart Beattie’s I, Frankenstein might be taking longer than expected. Either that or they need a spring film. Or… they might not like it. Who knows? In all fairness, January isn’t the dumping ground it used to be. Either way the film has moved from September 13th to January 24th, 2014.

In the film, “is a modern-day epic: Frankenstein’s creature, Adam, has survived to present day due to a genetic quirk in his creation. Making his way to a dark, gothic metropolis, he finds himself caught in an all-out, centuries old war between two immortal clans.

Aaron Eckhart plays Adam Frankenstein in the film based on the graphic novel by Kevin Grevioux, co-creator of Underworld. Bill Nighy, Socratis Otto, Yvonne Strahovski and Miranda Otto also star.

Because You Asked For It: Lionsgate’s ‘I, Frankenstein’ Getting 3-D Release!!!!!!!

Breaking news folks, Lionsgate is post-converting Stuart Beattie’s I, Frankenstein for a 3-D release on September 13. I had thought the gimmicky post-converted 3-D release platform had died, but apparently it’s “still an option.”

Rob Friedman, co-chairman of Lionsgate’s Motion Picture Group, confirmed the conversion to 3D during an analyst call Tuesday following the release of the indie studio’s third quarter results, stated the Hollywood Reporter.

We’re selective. We do it where we think it’s appropriate for the creative, as well as for the consumer enjoyment,” Friedman told press. Because, obviously, I, Frankenstein is going to be way more enjoyable looking like a pop-up book.

[TV] Next On “Dexter” Season Finale Banner Faces Off With Sis

After seven long season’s Showtime’s “Dexter” comes to a boiling point on December 16th.

On the banner “Someone’s Got It Coming,” it looks as if Dexter, played by Michael C. Hall, will finally come face-to-face with his sister Debra, played by Jennifer Carpenter. The season has taken a left turn after the season 6 finale, where Deb catches Dexter murdering one of his prey, and professes her love for him to a psychiatrist. Everyone thought we’d see a Bonnie and Clyde revival in the seventh season, only it’s happening with serial killer Hannah McKay, played by Yvonne Strahovski, instead of Deb. I’m excited to see the breaking point!

The episode, 07.12 “Surprise, Motherf**ker!”, “LaGuerta is on the verge of exposing Dexter and his killer ways, while he does his best to cover for himself and Debra, and maintain the life he’s created.

I’ve enjoyed this season, what about you guys? READ MORE

[TV] Next On “Dexter” Episode 7.10 “The Dark… Whatever”

Jumping head a week, below you’ll find the promo for Showtime’s “Dexter” Episode 7.10 “The Dark… Whatever”. It appears as though Yvonne Strahovski doesn’t give that much of a f*ck about Dexter’s “Dark Passenger” but her dad – who calls her “Banana” might.

Airing Sunday, December 2nd, “Dexter is unnerved when Hannah’s father pays him a surprise visit; the Phantom Arsonist’s crimes become more vicious; and Quinn defends Nadia’s honor and finds himself in a volatile situation. [TV News Bites] Photos From Episode 5 Of “Dexter”, That $10 Million “Munsters” Inspired “Mockingbird Lane” Pilot Could Be A TV Movie, America To Get Its Own “Strange Calls” And Molly Shannon Joins “Hannibal”

First off we have 13 images from Episode 7.05 of “Dexter”, entitled “Swim Deep”, that’s set to air a few weeks from now. They include a few more looks at Yvonne Strahovski in character and a couple of skeletons. Those can be found below the jump.

Next, via THR, is a more in-depth look at situation at NBC wherein Bryan Fuller’s “Munsters” remake “Mockingbird Lane” has reportedly been floundering. It’s important to remember that Fuller has denied claims that the show is in trouble, but the report is somewhat damning. The whole thing could be a TV Movie, or scrapped. “NBC has a big decision to make regarding its high-profile reboot of “The Munsters”. After two years in development and a pilot that sources say cost a whopping $10 million, the network is said to be unhappy with Mockingbird Lane (named for the famed family’s 1313 address) and is on the verge of scrapping the whole project… Sources say the network could choose to air the completed pilot as a Halloween special (either this year or next), or it might decide to shoot extra footage and package it as a made-for-TV movie for international buyers.” Click here for the full report.

America will get its own “Strange Calls” The half-hour comedy from writer Donick Cary (“New Girl”), director Ruben Fleisher (Zombieland) and producer Aaron Kaplan (“The Neighbors”), has landed at ABC. Based on an Australian series, it “centers on good-hearted, bumbling Boston cop Toby Banks, who is exiled to night duty on Nantucket island, where strange, unexplainable occurrences become the norm nine months out of the year.

Last but not least, SNL alum Molly Shannon (Superstar) has joined Bryan Fuller’s “Hannibal”, though the nature of her role is being kept under wraps. All can’t be bad between NBC and Fuller as that project seems to be pretty healthy.

TV: “Dexter” Season 7 Investigated By True Crime Writer

Chilean actor Santiago Cabrera – best known as Isaac from “Heroes” or Sir Lancelot from “Merlin” – has joined the cast of Showtime’s “Dexter” Season 7.

On “Dexter” he’ll portray Ethan Price, a charming investigative writer of true crime books about famous murder cases. Explained by EW, we don’t know yet which case Price is investigating, but considering all the Miami mayhem we’ve seen so far on this show, there’s certainly plenty of sensational deaths to choose from.

The new season begin September 30th. Yvonne Strahovski, Calista Flockhart, Matt Gerald, Ray Stevenson, Jason Gedrick, and Katia Winter join series regulars Michael C. Hall, Jennifer Carpenter, Desmond Harrington, C.S. Lee, Lauren Vélez, David Zayas, and James Remar.

TV: New Teaser For “Dexter” Season 7, The Dark Passenger Takes Center Stage

Now that I’m all caught up on “Dexter” I’ll be covering the upcoming seventh season. That means I’ll be sharing your pain (though hopefully the show rebounds). We know that the show will face head-on the implications of Deborah finding out that Dexter is the Bay Harbor Butcher (as well as the implications of being in love with him). It’s this central conflict that this teaser – “Dark Passenger” – plays up.

As previously reported, Yvonne Strahovski will play Hannah McKay, a strong, independent woman with a past that she’s struggled to put behind her. As Miami Metro reopens old cases, the department turns to her for assistance as Hall’s Dexter Morgan begins to wonder if there’s more to Hannah than what she reveals. Katia Winter will play a Russian stripper who works at a Miami club and joins Season 7 newbies Jason Gedrick — who will play the manger of the same Miami strip club — and Ray Stevenson, who has been cast as the leader of a Russian organized crime syndicate.

New TV Spot For Season 7 Of “Dexter” Teases The Brother/Sister Connection

“Dexter” returns Sunday, September 30 at 9 p.m. on Showtime and their most recent TV Spot is a vast improvement over the last one. It at least shows some footage, even if it’s not footage from the show itself. Instead, we get Deb and Dex staring longingly at each other as blood careens off the edge of a blade and drips on the floor. The spot, entitled “Truth Brings Light”, hints that this season will explore head-on the conflicts that arise after Deb admits her more-than-platonic love for Dexter – and discovers that he is indeed a killer (if not discovering that he’s the Bay Harbor Butcher outright).

Kicking off the first of the probable final two seasons, Yvonne Strahovski will play Hannah McKay, a strong, independent woman with a past that she’s struggled to put behind her on the Michael C. Hall-Jennifer Carpenter serial killer drama. As Miami Metro reopens old cases, the department turns to her for assistance as Hall’s Dexter Morgan begins to wonder if there’s more to Hannah than what she reveals.

As previously reported, Katia Winter will play a Russian stripper who works at a Miami club and joins Season 7 newbies Jason Gedrick — who will play the manger of the same Miami strip club — and Ray Stevenson, who has been cast as the leader of a Russian organized crime syndicate.
