Guitarist/singer Zakk Wylde has unveiled a signature hamburger entitled The Berzerker Burger. The hefty meat, cheese, bacon, and more burger features a skull branded into the top bun and it actually looks pretty damn delicious. It also looks like something that would give me a mild heart attack were I to eat a whole one. That being said, I love me a good burger, so the next time I visit Los Angeles, I’m grabbing one.

Hard rock/metal guitarist Zakk Wylde (Black Label Society, Ozzy Osbourne) will be bringing his book Bringing Metal To The Children: The Complete Berzerker’s Guide To World Tour Domination to paperback on April 9th. The book was co-written by New York Times bestselling author Eric Hendrikx. The book chronicles what really happens behind bus windows and stage doors. An all-star group of musicians have come together to join The Infinite Staircase for a charity single. Featuring Zakk Wylde (Black Label Society, ex-Ozzy Osbourne), Morgan Rose (Sevendust, Call Me No One), Kevin Martin (Candlebox, The Gracious Few), and John “JD” DeServio (Black Label Society, Cycle Of Pain), the band has completed a single entitled “The Pride”, which will hit iTunes next Tuesday via Vanity Music Group. 100% of the proceeds will be donated to the Carl V.Bini Memorial Foundation for distribution to those affected by Hurricane Sandy.

Co-writer, vocalist, and guitarist, Lenny Cerzosie explains, “In terms of the writing process and the meaning behind “The Pride”… the coolest thing about it to me is that it was written by all of us, it was a group effort.”

In honor of Zakk Wylde‘s birthday, the man himself has opened up a new merch shop and is offering everyone 10% off of anything in the store with the promo code “happybdayzakk”. Black Label Society will also be recording a new live DVD entitled Unblackened on March 6th at the Club Nokia in Los Angeles, CA. The set list will tackle several songs from the band’s back catalogue as well as a few songs from Wylde’s solo project as well as his Pride & Glory side project.

The twist to this show is that it will be a stripped down acoustic performance. There will be a four-piece string section as well as a pedal steel guitar and special guests used throughout the set. The DVD will be released later this year. READ MORE

Black Label Society and Ozzy Osbourne guitarist Zakk Wylde is releasing Bringing Metal to the Children: The Complete Berzerker’s Guide to World Tour Domination, a new book aimed at the younger crowd to instruct them on what life on the road is really like. The book will have personal anecdotes as well instructions for surviving the rigors of the touring lifestyle. You can preorder the book here.

To promote this book, Zakk has released a video where he appears to read excerpts from the book to several children. End result? A few of the kids don’t make it. Check it out below!

Comprised of some of the most talented musicians in the rock/metal scene, Adrenaline Mob has a lot going for it. After all, it’s Mike Portnoy (ex-drummer of Dream Theater), Russell Allen (singer of Symphony X), John Moyer (bassist of Disturbed), and guitarist Mike Orlando. With that kind of line-up, you gotta wonder what the final product is going to sound like. Dream Theater and Symphony X? Hell yeah! It’s gonna be some intense prog metal! But wait, Disturbed? So, it’s gonna have some commercial heavy rock appeal? And Mike Orlando, who played with Zakk Wylde and Bumblefoot, which means we’ll likely hear some shredding.

Is this the final product? Is this the sound that the band delivers? And, ultimately, is it all worth it? Find out below.

Okay William Shatner, I gave you the benefit of the doubt with Iron Man, but now watching you do vocals, this has got to be some cosmic joke, right? Not only are you singing out of tune but whoever did your video can’t even spell “album” right? What the hell is an “ablum”?

William Shatner, to some, is a man who can do no wrong. From Star Trek to Priceline to Airplane II to Twilight Zone, Shatner has become less of an actor and more of a cultural icon. Now, the icon wants to enter the music scene by putting out a 2-disc album called Seeking Major Tom consisting of covers and one original. After the jump, you can hear Captain Kirk do his rendition of Black Sabbath‘s classic track Iron Man, which features Zakk Wylde (Black Label Society, Ozzy Osbourne) on guitars. Say whatever you will about Ozzy Osbourne, but the man is the Prince of Darkness and he has been a part of creating some of the greatest metal the world has ever heard. Sure, at this point in his career, he’s doing Best Buy ads with Justin Bieber, but think of his glory days, such as when Diary of a Madman or Blizzard of Ozz came out.
