Corrupt the wish and then make one of your own.

Example:

Elaine:_ I wish I could win the lottery._

Louie: _Granted, but you get paid in Monopoly money.

I wish I wasn't surrounded by a bunch of losers._

Alex: _Granted, you're surrounded by a pack of starving wolves.

I wish Angela would call me. etc., etc., etc.
