Everyone is Out to Bring Down Arnie in ‘Killing Gunther’; Home Video Details

Arnold Schwarzenegger is currently living the life we want all of our older action stars to be living. A large part of what makes Arnie so great is that he has a willingness to make fun of himself. It’s not that he doesn’t take things seriously, but he knows to have fun. He hasn’t turned into an old curmudgeon, like some of his late 80’s-early 90’s action peers. Of course, it helps that he’s always been one to have a good time.

Schwarzenegger’s latest flick, Killing Gunther, looks to be all about the fun. This docu-comedy from Saturday Night Live’s Taran Killam has Schwarzenegger as a top flight assassin that everyone wants to take down. Killing Gunther hits Blu-ray, DVD and Digital HD on December 26th.

“Killing Gunther is a comedy set in the world of contract killers. A group of young, raw, and undisciplined assassins hire a docu-crew at gunpoint to have undeniable proof that they’re the ones who will kill the most infamous hit man of all time, Gunther (Arnold Schwarzenegger). But Gunther is on to them before they know it and makes their lives a living hell, turning the hunters into the prey in a kill-or-be-killed race against time.

It’s not a very good film. I’ll keep spoilers out of it. Arnie is the only reason I wanted to watch the film and this isn’t a spoiler but Arnie isn’t in most of the film because they’re hunting him down the final ten minutes or so are pretty enjoyable and there is one maybe two films but apart from that, it just didn’t feel needed.
