‘Hell or High Water’ is Coming to 4K UHD

Hell or High Water, the hit western from 2016 that was nominated for four Oscars, is getting the Ultra HD upgrade on February 13th with the release of 4K Ultra HD Combo Pack (plus Blu-ray and Digital). Hell or High Water is one of the best modern westerns and it’s comprised of some gorgeous cinematographer. There’s no doubt in my mind that this will look extra stunning in 4K. It’s been a bit of a slow ride but we’re starting to see more and more titles make the move to 4K and that’s a very good thing.

Hell or High Water was written by Taylor Sheridan and directed by David Mackenzie. The film stars Jeff Bridges, Ben Foster, and Chris Pine.

When a desperate father (Chris Pine) learns that the bank is going to take his family’s land, he and his ex-con brother (Ben Foster) are left with no choice. They decide to rob the bank’s branches, putting themselves in the crosshairs of an aging Texas Ranger (Jeff Bridges) in a riveting story of crime, punishment, and brotherly love.

As great as this movie is – and it’s REALLY great – Taylor Sheridan’s “Wind River” from this year was 10x better. I HIGHLY encourage everyone to check it out.

Not horror, but Wind River is one of my favorite movies of the year, it was great.

This was a good movie, but 4K? For what reason exactly? I could understand if it was a movie full of action sequences but it isn’t. It’s perfectly adequate in 1080.
