David Appears in Creepy Photos

On August 7th, 2017, popular cartoonist Adam Ellis began telling the story of how a dead child is haunting his apartment and is trying to kill him. His first tweet gained over 55,000 retweets and 76,000 likes, explained knowyourmeme.

On December 12th, Ellis updated the Twitter thread about “Dear David”, this time with more photographs of the supposed apparition. Explains the site, Ellis claimed he set his phone to take a picture every 60 seconds, and after hundreds of photos of nothingness, he eventually saw David. The child then slumped over a chair for several minutes, then stood over Ellis, noticed the camera, and evidently approached it.

The unconfirmed creepypasta is a lot not only spooky, but it’s also a lot of fun.

The unconfirmed creepypasta is a lot not only spooky, but it’s also a lot of fun.

    It’s also sheer bullshit.

It’s amazing to me the lengths people will go to try to get attention. People have waaaay too much time on their hands, pt. XXXVII.

    • I don’t really see how it’s any different from making a movie or writing a novel. It’s another form of story telling. He’s just using this as the medium he tells it in.

…to get Twitter likes and followers.

As opposed to money and reputation if you make a good movie or book?

          Get out, you are terrible.

Ok, oh hallowed Master of everything.

        • Which costs you nothing, as opposed to “legitimate” media like books and movies, that you’re expected to pay for. Most people who are really driven by creative urges will create even if there isn’t any money in it for them–it’s a compulsion. It’s what keeps me writing, even though I’ve only published a few pieces in journals that didn’t pay anything except a contributor copy. I create because I need to. I’m pretty sure this is the same thing.

I agree with the two posters before me. Whatever goal this guy is wanting to achieve he is suckering people into helping him get it.
